Pick a scenario!
(1) Your muse got an email from Prof. Moriarty, asking them to work with him on a research work.
It was the greatest opportunity ever, because he was working on something that could shoot up mankind's progress very far.
But, Professor Moriarty isn't very amenable, and had always daunted most of his students. The scary professor, who is really difficult to please.
(2) Your muse spots Jim standing up for himself for the first time. He has a cricket bat in his hand, however frail and shaky it was, and was standing firmly on the ground as the bully approached him.
This was hazing at the completely next level, it seemed like the bully wanted to really destroy Jim. Right before he attacked, Jim raised his bat to shield himself, but your muse knew it would be of no use.
Jim was scrawny, his opponent was a lot bulkier.
