We Can't Be Just Best Friends (Completed)

My thoughts were completely invaded by the fact that brad really wanted me at the party after everything and how i had to be with grandpa ,  that i didn't realize that we have made it to our destination . 

" you coming or are you going to sit in the car the entire time ?" shawn asked 

" yeah , i mean i'll just park the car and come " i replied as i was bought back to life . 

As i came back after parking the car , i saw shawn still waiting for me on the pavement . 

" lets go ?" he asked and nodded and and made our way inside the school realizing the doors were all open . 

We almost started  breaking in all the labs and sharing the last bit of memories we had . 

" oh ho do you all remember when lidia actually burned the entire lab down " james almost yelled but it didn't really matter since there was only the library assistant in the school but we had to keep it down . 

" i did not burn the entire lab down  " lidia fought back 

" of course , you did not , you just put the explosive chemicals together and it exploded " james cocked his head and we all ended up laughing , way louder than we should've. 

" oh anyone remember stinky man " shawn laughed 

" of course , god that was the worst classes ever " i groaned but ended up laughing . 

We made it out in the hallway 

"does anyone remember when connor was actually caught making out with , what was her name , georgia , right in front of the principal , it was right here , god that was hilarious " tris exclaimed 

" shit yeah i do " i laughed 

" that was right here " tris pointed at the locker and the next was connor running behind tris to beat the death out of him 

" i really can't believe connor actually did that " this came unexpected by brad but lidia and me carried on with his words . 

" damn that was my last locker " i spoke as i approached the locker and tried to open it 

" you do realise that everyone doesn't have a locker pin as 1234 " brad spoke and i simply narrowed my eyes at him ignoring the situation we actually are in , but he simply laughed at it including everyone else . 

" god who can be that stupid to put it as 1234 , that is why your stuff was often stolen " shawn laughed , i simply swatted his arms 

" god they're muscular now " i frowned 

" oh yeah , i've been working out " he replied and i nodded my head to that . 

The next we entered was our last classrooms we were in , clicking a few pictures we entered the hallway again . 

" oh god  , its the biology lab " lidia exclaimed and we entered the bio lab which hasn't changed at all . 

" god does anyone remember , when luna really had to steal the footage from principals room because brad and her were caught making out , that was senior year dude " james said and just as he said , awkwardness took place, the flashbacks coming back almost instantly  , the strange eye contact me and me and brad had was soon broken by lidia 

" lets go to the field " she should live for 1000 years for always trying to help me get out of situations . Everyone agreed to her offer . 

As we all entered the field , we found the entire area empty , realizing it was a saturday

" anyone up for a game ?" tris exclaimed as he bought the football . 

" oh no " i mumbled 

After me backing out a couple of times , i was forced to give , splitting the team into , lidia , brad and tris and me , shawn and james in one , whereas making connor the goalkeeper . 

We played the game professionally regardless of my less knowledge of sports but hopefully i had known a little because of brad . I was proved wrong that lidia would be a bad player but she was actually wonderful at playing it , leaving me to be the worst player among all. 

" regardless of the fact that you don't know a lot about the game much , you're a nice player " tris complimented 

" oh thank you tris " i smiled but i learned his intentions , 

" god you're a pathetic cheater , that isn't fair " i yelled throwing my hands in the air because he won at stealing the ball by distracting me quick enough . 

" hun that is how you win the game " tris said and i glared at him and flipping at him instantly 

After playing for a while , lidia's team winning and mine loosing and me focusing on the game more and james almost yelling at me almost everytime when the opponents were successful in taking the ball away . 

Shawn had been pretty focused in the game , just as soon as he hit the goal , making it a tie , we bumped into each other , i almost fell but he held me . 

" you fine ?" he asked and nodded and smiled at him . 

" okay time for bonus score " connor yelled and we all nodded , placing ourselves for the last goal . It started with lidia managing to snatch the ball , trying to pass it onto tris which was failed since shawn's long legs interrupted . I had been pretty focused on staying near the goal to hit once the ball reaches me . The ball was slipped from shawn , making it reach brad , i got a indication to interrupt since brad was almost to the goal . I was pretty close and was able to snatch the ball but it hit a little ahead , brad reaching it again and me running after it like a maniac . Brad managed to get the ball but tripped over it and before i could stop my feet , i  fell over him , totally regretting the fact of running right after him.  

The proximity was minimal that I  could even feel his breath fanning over my face due to reckless running . I was aware of his arms holding my lower back and my hair managing to fall over our faces blocking our view to the outside , but even though the presence of everything I could only focus on the adorable face right in front of me , almost enough close that I could kiss and I knew he wanted the same when I captured him looking intensely at my lips . I wanted to attach my lips to his and savour the moment but I had to Back away , because even though I try to hate him, I can't and he doesn't love me anymore.

" You alright ?" He asked as I moved my head a little
