Unexpected Love

Chapter 52

Caitlin sat alone working on the computer when her mother and father entered the cortex.
"Hello sweetie" Harry said as he walked up behind her and placed a kiss to her cheek.
"Hi dad, mom" she smiled "what are you both doing here?" She asked.
"Well your mother wanted to ask you something but I think you'll just say no but she thinks otherwise so over to you darling" Harry smiled at his wife.
"Well Caitlin dear, I know that you might say no but I was wondering if you wanted to help me set up a tanhouser site, it will take three months, that means two months away from your family which I know will be hard but I could really use your help" she asked.
Caitlin thought of the offer and about Natalie and Barry. She thought about the pros and cons of going and honesty her biggest reason was to have a break from Barry, to come back and then mend their broken bridges.
"Ok" she said after a moment
"What?" Her mother and father said in disbelief.
"I said yes, I will do it"
"Really? I thought you wouldn't leave Barry and Natalie for that long" Carla asked prying her daughter for information.
"Well me and Barry are on... different terms at the moment so it will be best if I go and help you"
"What did he do!" Harry said angrily.
"Dad it's nothing it is just a stupid argument" Caitlin said attempting to calm him down.
"Just wait till I get my hands on him" Harry muttered under his breath earning him a glare from Caitlin.
"Don't glare at me like your mother does" Harry pulled a sad face causing both women to laugh. Once their laughing had settled Caitlin realized it was the first time she had laughed in weeks...

"Goodbye Caitlin, I'm going to miss you so much" Cisco said as he pulled her into a tight hug.
"I'm gonna miss you too Cisco" She said finally moving from his embrace.
"Goodbye mommy" Natalie smiled hugging her mother tightly by his neck.
"Goodbye sweetie, be good for daddy ok?" Caitlin smiled stroking her arm lovingly.
"Ok mommy" Natalie smiled placing one last kiss to her mother's cheek.
"Goodbye Barry" Caitlin said as she stood awkwardly Infront of him.
"I'm gonna miss you too" he said as he pulled her in for a tight hug.
"I know" she said as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
"I'm so sorry" he whispered letting tears fall from his eyes.
"I know" she said as tears began to fall from her eyes.
They let each other go and looked into eachothers eyes. They both leaned in and slowly connected their lips. The kiss wasn't heated or passionate, it was loving and soft. They pulled apart, not wanting to leave. Caitlin looked into his eyes once more then walked to her car and sat down. Her farther began to drive as she let all the tears fall from her eyes until she couldn't cry anymore.
