you looked down at the three pregnancy tests on the sink and a huge smile was brought to your face. you were pregnant. you had been feeling sick the past few days and when you realized your period was late, you bought the tests.
you immediately began thinking of a cute way to tell your husband, jonah.
you had been married for a little less than a year. you hadn't been trying to have a baby, but you were definitely ready and you knew jonah would be excited.
you stared searching online until you found the perfect idea. jonah was at work, so you had all day to make this perfect.
you needed to get some supplies, so you went to the arts and crafts store. you called your best friend on the way there.
"y/f/n!" you exclaimed when she answered.
"what? what happened?"
"i'm pregnant!"
"what?!" she asked.
"i took three tests today, i'm pregnant!"
"oh my gosh, congratulations!" she said.
"thank you. i'm so excited to tell jonah."
"are you gonna do one of those cute things?"
"yeah, i'm on my way to pick up some stuff right now."
"aww, send me pictures and tell me how he reacts. he's gonna be so excited."
"i know, i can't wait."
"this is crazy, oh my gosh."
"i know, i couldn't believe it."
"i have to go, but congrats again and call me later."
"okay. bye."
"bye." you hung up.
you found a parking spot and went inside to get what you needed. you quickly drove home to get started on your small project.
it took you about an hour to finish. you were so proud of it, it looked so cute. by then it was time to start dinner. jonah would be home soon so you put the top on the box and set it on your dresser.

you went to the kitchen and started making one of jonah's favorites. about forty five minutes later, you heard jonah unlocking the front door.
"i'm home baby," jonah called.
"in the kitchen!" you yelled. you heard him walking through the house and soon he was walking into the kitchen.
"how are you baby?" he asked.
"i'm good." you stepped away from the stove and kissed him.
"smells good," he said with a smile. you chuckled and went back to cooking.
soon it was ready, so you made two plays and jonah got two glasses of water. you went to the kitchen table and started eating.
"how was work?" you asked.
"it was fine. how about you, what'd you do today? you still feeling sick?" he asked.
"no, i'm starting to feel a little bit better. i mostly just cleaned today." you shrugged.
you both finished eating, then jonah helped you clean the kitchen. you were pretty quiet, trying to hide your excitement.
"you sure you're feeling better?" he asked, grabbing your waist and looking at you. "you're pretty quiet."
"i have something to show you," you told him. he looked at you weird. "come here."
you grabbed his hand and led you to the bedroom. he sat on the bed and you grabbed the box. you handed it to him and he looked at you.
"just open it." you smiled and he sighed.
he opened the box and looked inside. it took a minute for it to hit him, but then he smiled hugely.
"wait...is this for real?" he asked.
"yeah." you nodded.
"oh my gosh, y/n!" he exclaimed. he moved the box and wrapped his arms around you, standing up and spinning you around in his arms.
"i'm gonna be a dad!" he exclaimed.
"i know!" you chuckled. he set you down and grabbed your face, pressing his lips to yours.
"oh my gosh! i can't believe this!"
"i know! i'm so excited."
"me too. oh my gosh, we're gonna be parents!" he exclaimed. he hugged you tight against his chest, putting his cheek on the top of your head.
"oh my gosh," he mumbled.
"i'm glad you're happy."
"are you kidding? i'm ecstatic!" you both laughed and rocked back and forth while hugging.
he pulled away from the hug and put his hands on your waist.
"this is insane, oh my gosh." he shook his head while smiling. you smiled back at him.
he pulled you close to him and kissed your lips. you moved your hands into his hair as he pulled your body against his.
he pulled away and kissed all over your face. you both started laughing.
"i love you so much princess," he said quietly.
"i love you too jonah." you kissed him again before hugging him tightly.
"wow. i can't wait to have a baby with you." he smiled widely.
