Kyra POV

After Asta defeated the creep, I allowed him and Yuno to have their moment as I walked over to the two nobles to check on their injuries. The two of them were fine, just a bit shaken up by what happened. I was going to use my black star to heal them but decided against doing so after remembering their words from earlier.

Then did the authorities decide to make an appearance. They took away the creepy scarred man and asked all of us some questions which we responded to truthfully. After that, Yuno, Asta, and I started to head back to the church were I knew Father and the others were waiting.

All the way back Asta was treating his newfound grimoire like it was a baby. He had nearly hit me in the face when he tried to show me, I was surprised to find that Asta also had the five-leaf clover like myself. When I told him he had smiles and told me that made the two of us soul mates.

Yuno quickly shut him down after that comment by saying it was impossible since mines were legendary while his was most likely just some random abandoned grimoire, of course, like always this lead to the two arguing.

As soon as we got home, Father congratulated Yuno and me, which lead to Asta bragging about his grimoire. To say everyone was shocked was an understatement, Father had nearly fallen out his chair with his overdramatic self.

After that, we had spent most of the night talking and eating until we all fell asleep at 11.

The next morning while we were eating leftovers from the night before, Father had made an announcement, "As you all know, in six months is the Magic Knights Exams. I just know Yuno and my darling Krya will pass and be accepted into the Magic Knights. They are the hope of this village, the sun that shines down on us lowly peasants, a blessing from the God's." I felt a cold sweat run down my face at the sight of Father praising the two of us with tears streaming down his face.

"Hey! What about me?!" Asta yelled out, but like most of the time, he was ignored by Father.

"Anyway, you best start training and having fun now, because in six months after you get accepted into the Magic Knights it'll be no more fun and games. No longer will you be children, but adults." Father spoke after sitting back down.

I tilted my head to the side at his words, "I thought getting your grimoire was the coming-of-age ceremony?"

Instead of Father Sister Lily spoke, "Yes, in most cases it is, what Father means is that once you become a Magic Knight your responsibilities will increase. Only the best can become a Magic Knight, I suppose." I nodded my head at Sister's words.

"Right! Its no problem for me though, ill train hard, get into the best Magic Knights Group, become Captian, then the Wizard King!" Sister opened her mouth to speak but was stopped by a yell from Asta as he shoved food in his mouth at an unhealthy rate. After he was done he gulped down the water, grabbed him grimoire and ran out of the house to train.

I smiled at his enthusiasm, I looked over at Yuno to start a conversation only to dismiss the thought upon seeing him grab some bread and his grimoire and rush out of the house to train as well. At this I let out a giggle, they really are rivals.

At this thought, I looked over at my grimoire. I had yet to use a spell from the book and if I want to keep my promise of protecting Yuno and Asta I should also start training as well. Finishing my cup of water, I stood up, grimoire in hand, and walked towards the door.

"You too Krya? Whats got you all so riled up? You must really want to be a Magic Knight." Recca spoke from the table. I just turned and flashed them all a small smile rather than a verbal response. Turning back I walked out and began to walk towards the empty fields since I knew Asta was in the cave and Yuno was in the forest.
