Third Person POV

It was a chilly foggy day when three babies where found on the doorstep of the church. Two where screaming out, crying as loud as they could while the third was uncomfortably silent. Not dead, the priest of the church was sure to check. The baby was just sleep, completely ignoring the yells of the other two.

Sighing, the priest shushed the two crying children, "Now, now." He muttered as he raised all three children up in their baskets with much trouble. After a struggle he managed to get all four of them into the church and up to the room where he placed the three on the bed before turning on the fire to warm up the cool room.

After the room warmed up a bit, the preist walked over to the bed and looked over the children, his hands placed on his hips as he watched the two previously crying babies calm down. No longer where they fussy about the cold, instead tired from the newfound warmth.

"Ah, those two finally calmed down." The preist spoke out around a yawn as he stretched. Sighing, he bent down in front of the sleeping child in the middle. "Are they brothers," The preist thought out loud, "Or perhaps twins?"

After watching them a bit longer he shook his head, "No, they're not. This one seems rather calm while this one.." The preist trailed off as he watched the giggling grey haired baby, "He seems to have a lot of spunk." His eyes drifted over to the silent golden haired baby, a frown stretching across his face as he studied the child.

"Now what type of parents would gave a baby this many pirecings?" The golden haired baby had quite a few piercings, five on his left ear and 3 on his right. The preist felt sympathy for him, he couldn't even imagine the pain the baby must have felt when he received the piercings. "He's not even a year old yet..."

A shimmer caught his eye, reaching up the priest pulled down the babies blanket and saw a expensive looking ring along with the child's name stitched into the shirt he was wearing. "Hmm, Kyra is it?" As if understanding that his name was called, the blonde baby opened his eyes, big golden orbes stared up at the priest causing a small smile to form on his face, "It suits you, I read in a book that Kyra means 'sun', I'm sure that you'll grow up to be the sun that shines down on us all."

As if understanding, the babies small hand wrapped itself around the priest's index finger. The baby slurred out some unaudioable words before giggling and smiling a toothless smile up to the older man before letting go of his finger and closing his eyes, most likely going back to sleep.

The preist let out a chuckle, finding the blondes actions adorable, before looking over at the black haired baby. Pulling down his blanket he saw the name stitched to his shirt, "Hmm? Yuno.." His eyes looked at the necklace that laid by the baby's head, a closed eye smile stretching across his face before turning the the grey hair baby, "Let's see. And the spunky one over here is-" The preist was cut off by a kick to the nose.

A sound of surprise came from the man as the sheer force of the kick knocked him off his balance and onto his butt, grabbing his aching nose he held back tears as he looked at the giggling baby, "Hey! You're a bit too spunky..." Getting up the man look ready to scold the baby but he paused as a smile replaced his look of anger, "Asta, eh?"

A small but strong feeling of protectiveness welled in his chest as he looked down at the three children, placing his hands on his hips he spoke to them, "Right! You three don't need to worry about a thing anymore. Starting today, this is your new home..Asta, Yuno, Kyra."

Krya POV

The sound of a loud voice yelling out sister Lily caused me to let out a sigh.

"That idiots is at it again." I let out a small laugh as I continued to stir the tato soup I was making for dinner.

I didn't need to go outside to see was was happening because I already knew, Asta was confessing to Sister Lily and asking for marriage once again, even though he knew he was going to be rejected.

Another shout of Yuno was heard, letting me know that Yuno had managed to rile Asta up once again. Sighing, I turned used water magic to put out the fire before turning and heading toward the front of the church.

Opening the door, I was met with the sight of Asta doing sit ups at a high speed. Feeling a breeze laced with mana, I turned to my left and saw Yuno drying clothes with his wind magic. The other kids seemed to notice too because they all left Asta to flock around Yuno.

I rubbed my temples as a watched Asta get stare in shock at Yuno. However, the ash grey haired boy wasn't discouraged, getting up he ran around back with a yell to leave the wood chopping to him.

I watched as Yuno went after him followed by the others, shaking my head I meant after them only to see Yuno using his wind magic to chop the wood Asta was about to cut.

It was quiet for moment before Nash added fuel to the fire by saying, "I still can't believe you two are the same age." Angered Asta turned and opened his mouth, most likely about to yell at Yuno. He was stopped by the door slamming open and smacking him in the face.

I looked at father who came out, tears in his eyes as he Bagan to speak, "Yuno and Kyra are the hopes of this church! I won't be surprised if they end up joining the magic knights who serve the wizard king!"

With another sigh, I walked up to Asta and kneeled down beside his moping form, patting his head as I tried to cheer him up, "It's alright Asta, I believe you can join the magic knights as well. I know how hard you have been training and physically you have both Yuno and I beat. That's something to be proud of right? Plus I'm sure once you get your grimoire you'll become even stronger!"

Sniffling, Asta turned around to look at me, sparkles in his eyes. "Kyra," I flashed him a closed eye smile to let him know I really meant my words. Hearing a thump, I opened my eyes to see Asta with a determined look as he faced the giant skull with the wizard Kings statue on top, "That's right! I'll get a grimoire that's more amazing than anyone else's, get into the magic knights, following in your footsteps, and become the wizard king!"

"There he goes again." Nash said as he looked at Asta a board look on his face.

"And I'll fix up this shabby, ugly church!"

"Well, I'm sorry if it's so shabby and ugly!" Father yelled out at Asta who completely ignored him and continued on with his speech.

"Right Yuno?" I turned to look at Yuno and saw him ignored Asta, "Right?" Asta incouraged only to be ignored once again by Yuno walking into the church.

I felt my eyebrows furrow as I turned back to look at Asta, "Asta.."

But he didn't stay to listen to me, instead he yelled out, "Just you wait!" Before jumping the fence and running off to wherever it is that he usually goes.

I stood there watching him run until I could no longer see him anymore, I heard Sister Lily enter the church, probably going to tell Yuno to be nicer to Asta. I would have done that too but I knew the reason Yuno was to hard on Asta, they've been that way since that day 10 years ago.

Memories of that day flooded my mind for a few seconds before I shook my head to get rid of them, no I won't worry about them I have to to focus on myself right now. After all, they weren't the only one who made promises that day.
