Kyra POV
"Ah sir this shirt will look great on you, you should buy it." A random salesperson chirped; their arms wrapped loosely around my neck as they held a shirt in front of me. Looking down at the shirt I felt a frown appear on my face.
Grabbing their hands, a gently moved them away before turning towards them, "Um, it is a nice shirt, but I don't think it's my style." I tried, not wanting to hurt their feelings by telling them I'd rather die than wear that neon piece of fabric. I didn't know such a bright and short article of clothing existed.
Fixing their hood, the salesperson places the shirt back on the stand, a pout showing on their visible lips. "Awe, with your looks I was sure you could pull it off, the yellow matches your eyes."
At their words I felt myself sweat drop, although I'm not a hundred perfect certain, I don't think my eyes are that shade of yellow, if anything that shirt was more green than yellow.
"Not true!" Asta joined, Noelle and Vanessa right beside him. "Kyra's eyes are the color of the sun, that shirt is the color of urine."
"In less gross words, that shirt is hideous." Noelle spoke, her arms crossed as she looked from the shirt to the salesperson.
Rubbing her chin Vanessa added, "Hmm, but with Kyra's looks he just might pull it off. He's the guilds Ikemen after all."
"Now that you mention it..."
"Now, now, as flattering as that sounds I'm not the best-looking person in the guild- "
"Nah, out of all the males I've stumbled across in the Black Bulls guild you are the prettiest. Not just on the outside but on the inside too, all the other boys in the guild are weirdos." Vanessa waved me off, ending the conversation by turning towards another stand. Sighing, I also decided to just drop the subject for the sake of my mental wellbeing.
We continued to walk around the dark market, looking around for things we might want to buy with our newfound pay. So far, I've yet to see anything I'd want.
"Hey it's you guys!" A voice called out grabbing out attention. Turning towards the source we were met with a grinning man. He looks familiar and for some reason just his face annoyed me.
A loud gasp bought the attention from the boy to Asta, who was pointing at the taller male, "It's Bah-ha!"
"No, it's Sekke!" He yelled before closing his eyes to take a breath and calm himself. "Anyway, I was hear spending my earnings from the paycheck I got the other day. I had got a bonus for achieving my...second... star... Never mind that, what are you doing here?"
Before anyone could answer a loud scream filled the alleyway followed by a shout, "T-Thief! He stole, my winnings!" Before anyone else could move, Asta had took off in pursuit of the thief.
Seeing this, I quickly shook my shock off and ran up to the old lady bending down while placing a hand on her back. "Are you alright ma'am? Any injuries or pain?" Vanessa and Noelle joined me as I checked over the woman.
Shaking her head, she accepted the hand I had held out. "N-no, I am fine. Thank you."
"But still, he has the nerve stealing right in front of magic knights. Is he an idiot?" Noelle huffed.
"No kidding, but everything will be fine if we leave it to the little boy." Vanessa added, looking in the direction the two ran off in.
"I'm counting on you." The old woman spoke.
"Bah-ha! I'm not gonna let him steal all the glory!" Sekke shouted before pulling out his grimoire and using his magic to cast a spell, revealing a...unique bike/broom. Vanessa and Noelle didn't hold back in letting him know how ugly the creation was. But their words didn't stall him, "You lot just stay here and relax with the old lady, leave this to then men." With that she zoomed off to join the chase.
