Kyra POV

6 Months Later

"Asta, Kyra, Yuno, you all better hurry up or you won't make it to Castle Town in time for the Exam!" Sister Lily's yell woke me up just before dawn. Looking to my left I didn't see Yuno meaning he had already woken up. On my right lay a fast asleep Asta, spread out like a starfish as he snored away.

Shaking my head, I didn't even bother trying to wake him up. I knew from experience that nothing could actually wake him up, I bet he could sleep through the end of the world.

Getting up, I walked over to the dresser and grabbed the clothes that I had laid out the night before. The rest of my clothing was already in my luggage, Asta and Yuno didn't pack anything but a few outfits, saying once they become Magic Knights they could buy even better clothes.

Most of their clothes and shoes went to the other children in the orphanage when they asked me why I didn't do the same I simply told them that I'll buy and send them brand new clothes once I got into the Magic Knights.

My response seemed to have touched them somehow because after I said that the children and Father were on their knees with tears in their eyes in front of me as they called me an angel.

Shaking my head at the memory, I quickly got ready before grabbing my stuff and walking downstairs to the kitchen. Greeting Father and Sister Lily, I walked over to the cabinet and pulled out the snacks I saved up for the journey then shoved them into my bag.

After scanning my brain to check off if I had everything, I nodded to myself before walking into the dining room where I saw the children and Yuno sitting and eating their breakfast.

After some small talk, Sister told us it was time for us to start going. Grabbing my stuff, I let out a small sigh when I saw Asta still wasn't down here. I was about to go get him but was stopped by Yuno's hand on my shoulder. "Leave him,"

I was hesitant but after seeing Sister walk up the stairs to wake up our loudest sibling I followed the ravenette out the door. Just as we finished saying out goodbyes to Father and the children, Asta loud voice echoed across the quiet church grounds, "Yuno, Krya! Wait for me!" His shouts bought out giggles from the younger ones while Nash just shook his head.

"Why wait for him? I don't see why he is going, why not save the trouble and embarrassment of failing by just staying here?" The freckled boy grumbled out.

Hearing his words, I placed a hand on his head and ruffled it up, laughing as he slapped my hand away, "Now, now Nash. I understand you'll miss him while he is gone but doesn't wish him bad luck."

Nash just let out a loud huff at my words before crossing his arms and looking another way. Smiling at his behavior, I began to walk after Yuno but not before giving father and the others a hug and a kiss on the cheek. Asra joined the two of us a minute later, yelling at Yuno about him not waiting.

I turned to look back at the church once more, I couldn't say for sure how long it'll be before I saw them again so it was only right. I saw the children still waving at us, even as we got farther and farther away.

I smiled warmly at them, taking in this memory before facing forward once more just in time to see Yuno and Asta begin to sprint away in what was most likely another competition.

The following days were fun, we never got the chance to leave Hage often so this was a new experience for the three of us. We didn't know how the Exams will turn out so we are just enjoying each other company while we still can, even though the two rivals didn't show it, I could tell this journey was bringing them closer.
