Kyra POV
I was tired.
Why?
Well, that's because of the two muscle heads who were dragging me all through the building.
For the past 30 minutes, Asta and Magna were running around while the delinquent senpai showed us where everything was, which in my opinion was kind of dumb since the base always changes shape.
I mean, if the shape changes wouldn't that mean the rooms would rearrange themselves as well?
Even though I was tired (and highly annoyed) I didn't voice out my uncomfortable feelings. Even when I was assigned to feed the giant dogs every day (which I didn't mind since under all that biting they were actually adorable).
"Kyra! Hurry up, we still have to see the- oof." Asta's yelling was cut off by him bumping into a silver-haired girl. "Oh, I'm sorry about that-"
"Hmph, as you should be you insect. How dare you bump into royalty like that." The girl said, a glare on her face as if she was looking down on the three of us.
Naturally, her words pissed of the hot-headed teen, "Who're you calling an insect, huh?! We are supposed to be colleagues as Magic Knights! Who cares that you're royalty." A look of anger on his face as he yelled at her.
Upon seeing this I couldn't help but think of three things. One is how similar she looked and two was how I would have to scold Asta later about disrespecting women and third of how he could get in so much trouble for saying such things to royalty in the real world.
The girl scoffed at his words before raising her hand to display her magic, "You should care, a mere insect couldn't even hold a candle to our magic. I guess I'll just have to show you the difference between our magical powers."
Before she could actually fire her water magic, I stepped forward to cover the idiot, "There's no need, Asta doesn't even have magic." It seems my words either shocked or confused her because her magic soon disappeared.
"What?" Her head was tilted to the side in confusion at my words.
"I said, there's no need to show him the difference between your magic because even if you only had a tiny drop you'd have more magic than Asta since he's magicless," I explained ignoring Asta's cries of shock from me exposing him.
"Kyra, I thought we were partners. How could you say that." A stream of tears flowed down his face as he crumbled to the ground, sobbing into my legs.
Clicking my tongue, I pat his head once before muttering, "You didn't let me finish, dimwit. As I was saying, he doesn't have any magic but that's what makes him special. His magic is not giving up-."
"Kyra~"
"-Or being a muscle idiot, I'm still not sure." I finished watching as Asta looked up at me with sparkles in his eyes.
"I'll ignore the last part, but I've always known you cared. Now that I know for sure we can start planning for the wed-" He was cut off by me gently pulling at his hair.
"Ah, but if I remember correctly you first have to grow taller than me." I teased, a small smile on my face.
As expected, Asta began to mutter out words of protest only to be ignored by myself as I looked at the two who had been witnessing the whole thing.
Noelle, whose name I finally remembered, just let out a huff before turning around so quick her long silver hair flew over her shoulder.
"I assume youre correct, no need to squish an already dying insect. Now if you'll excuse me I have other places to be." With those words, she walked off into the forest.
