chapter 5 : skater hater

finn hated mondays. it was the wrost day out of all the other days. but this monday was different. this monday school was out for the day. finn had the chance to hang out with friends, catch up on some t.v. and have just a relaxing day. finn decided to walk over to sadie's house.
"hey sadie!" finn yelled from sadie's front door.
"hold on!" sadie yelled back. she then appeared at her front door smiling at finn.
"finn! just the person i wanted to see!" sadie smiled.
"hey i thought maybe we could hang out today." finn smiled.
"oh. i would love to, but today's caleb and i's five month anniversary!" sadie smiled.
"oh yeah." finn suddenly remember that today's their big day. he suddenly remembered that he told caleb which skateboard she really wanted. he remembered that he helped caleb prepare the perfect date for sadie.
"but! our date is later today, so we could do something until then." sadie said, breaking finn out of his thoughts.
"um yeah sure." finn nodded.
"let's go skateboarding!" sadie smiled.
"okay! i'll just quickly get my board." finn said as he walked back to his house.
as he walked to his house he received a text.

finn smiled. he had all this time to spend with sadie and he couldn't wait.
"let's go!" finn said as he walked over to sadie.
they got on their skateboards and skated around town. they rode through parks and streets. telling jokes and just having a good time.
"so, have you tried vegan pizza?" sadie asked.
"no not yet, why?" finn asked.
"well, there's really good vegan pizza down the street, and caleb doesn't like 'fake' cheese, so i barely go." sadie explained.
"then why don't you go with noah or someone other than caleb?"
"they're lame."
finn laughed. "so, are we getting pizza or what?"
"race ya!" sadie said as she quickly skated down the street.
"hey! that's not fair! i don't even know where this place is!" finn yells.
they skated down a steep hill to get to the pizzeria.
"hey, this place also sells regular pizza too." finn says as we get to the pizzeria.
"yeah, i guess i never noticed." sadie shrugged.

"hey finn what time is it?" sadie asked after they finished their pizza.
"umm...it's 4:30pm." finn stated.
"oh shoot! i need to get ready for my date with caleb! i got to go!" sadie said as she got up.
"okay. you go, i'll pay for the pizzas." finn said, "see ya later skater."
she quickly thanked him, leaving the curly-haired boy alone.
