This was weird.
You weren't in the darkness like many said, you just were nonexistent. There was nothing, no living being. Even now it's hard to call you a living creature, but that's not the point. There was no darkness, there was no light following. You were created, contained until you will be needed and then freed with only one purpose.
To destroy the human race.
The moment you became conscious and opened your eyes, you knew it. This was it, a little glimpse of the past, then long hibernation. You knew it was because of the spell used on you.
Now, wide awake, you sat at the top of a building in the center of some city. What was its name, you didn't remember. It didn't matter anyway, you just had to finish your goal and then be wiped out of existence. That's all.
The dust and smoke covered the streets, making it difficult to see and breathe. It even floated to higher parts, causing some to make its way to your nose. You don't need to breathe, but the nose is useful when it comes to things like fire, and you have to act like a human, so no one will suspect anything.
It all doing matter at this point.
Little parts of you, your servants, were running around, causing havoc and collecting human souls, so you could drain more power from their negativity. And their life energy. Every one of them had different dreams and hopes, but also fears and disappointments, whenever it was about something different or on a personal level. You felt that all when you feast upon their essence. It was the only thing you could feel. Because spells don't have emotions.
However, despite this chaos you caused, you felt something different. Six differences.
Six humans, well technically four, one half-human and one with great power. Some different race than human. But not spell like you.
It was foreseeable, you still had Avengers to kill. One of the strongest but at the same time the weakest. They were responsible for all human race and this caused their weakness. This caused their fear and concerns. Way bigger than other humans had. It was easy to say, because you could feel it from where you were seated, a few kilometers away from them.
Yes, you should probably kill them and make humans more hopeless. This was the logical thing to do, and the only thing that if not fulfilled it might backfire. Nevertheless, it's not as they could destroy you permanently, you would return to your state of hibernation for some time. You can't die until your purpose will be appeased.
And there was another reason. If you would capture one of them and have some time to drain hostage completely, it would be more delicious than anything you had. And it would cause their hope and confidence to crumble, making them a more appealing meal. You had enough essences to start your worldwide massacre. You can have a little fun, right?
You didn't choose as you wanted (this half human was definitely more appealing) as you had to make use of an opportunity when one of them flew right at you. You admit that was brave but completely stupid.
You just jumped and landed on his red and gold armor, pinning him to the ground. You felt his shock and a spark of fear. What shocked you, was that you get his shell. Now you knew that this was the better choice. This overwhelming feeling of fear and guilt was paralyzing and so arousing.
Quickly recovering, you tore his mask apart and gave him a solid punch right into the face. His head smashed on the ground below him, causing his mind to turn off. You felt that he was alive. If he died, you would be really disappointed with yourself. He felt delicious, and you didn't even start anything.
