The pair of men found a park bench to sit on and Hoseok turned to Yoongi, smiling a bit. “So, why are the guys making you upset?”

“Because they keep siding with my dad.”

“Your dad?”

“He keeps contacting me. He wants me to meet up with him and talk.”

“And why don’t you?”

“Not you, too.” Yoongi groaned. Hoseok shook his head, holding his hands up in defense.

“I’m not taking sides. But I don’t know you or your father as well as the others. I’m just trying to gather information.” Hoseok said. “I just wanted to know your reasoning for not wanting to see you father?”

“We aren’t on the best of terms. You know...what I told you about him and my mother.”

“I do.”

“He wants me to practically do the same thing. Marry as soon as possible. Every time he wants to talk, it’s always to set me up with someone.”

“Have you tried telling him that you aren’t interested?”

Yoongi rolled his eyes. “I would if I could.”

“What do you mean?”

“That man is so full of himself that he’ll talk for centuries before I can even get a single word in.”

“I see.”

“It gets old, pretty fast. I hate it when he does it, because I’m just not interested in randomly marrying someone. I’d like to get to know the person I’ll be spending the rest of my existence with...fall in love as cheesy as that sounds.”

“Yeah, I know how you’re feeling.” Hoseok nodded. “Arranged marriages have a lower rate of divorce, did you know that? I suppose because it’s all business, and feelings don’t really come into play until later. I’m not advocating for it, but maybe your father is just trying to do what he thinks is best for you.”

“I highly doubt it.”

“Never know unless you ask. And if he doesn’t let you talk, write him a letter or something, something you know he’ll have to listen to you through, because you won’t be there to be interrupted by him.”

“Why are you so good at this?” Hoseok gave him a shy smile and giggled a little.

“You often speak of how you don’t wish to be your father. You’re not him, Yoongi, you’re your own person, and I truly believe that. But I also believe that your father isn’t as bad of a guy as you make him out to be. I think maybe sometimes you should stop and look at things in his perspective.”

Yoongi didn’t say anything, merely nodded. “But I also know that you feel pressured by the responsibilities he placed onto you. Express your feelings to him, he won’t know unless you tell him. I don’t think he’ll leave you alone until he knows how you feel.”

“You’re right.” Yoongi offered Hoseok and smile and got up, helping the human to stand as well. “Thank you for this, Hoseok. Just listening to me, but also talking it out. I’ll take your suggestions and think some things over.”

“Glad I could help!”

“Would you...like to head back to my place with me? The guys are there, and I’m sure they won’t mind hanging out.”

“No, I’m actually going to go back to campus and work on a new routine I’ve been trying to perfect for awhile. I was heading there just now.”

“Oh...you could have told me that.” Yoongi said, feeling bad. Hoseok giggled and shook his head.

“You’re more important, Hyung.”

Yoongi was confused.

He didn’t know what was going on with his head, but his mind refused to rid itself of thoughts of Hoseok.

It had been three days since their last conversation and Yoongi hadn’t stopped thinking about the beautiful boy since.

During class that day Yoongi had caught himself staring at Hoseok for the majority of class, tuning out everything the professor had been saying.

And now they were alone together once again, as the others had all gone out clubbing once again. Yoongi was nervous, he didn’t know what to make of these new thoughts and feelings flooding his system...because he’d never felt like this before.

He’d spent his whole entire existence scorning almost every god and creature to approach him, but he wanted Hoseok by his side all of the time. The boy made him feel good, and with him, he always forgot about the reputation he often had.

Hoseok had shown him that he wasn't his father, that his father’s image wasn’t his, and that he didn’t have to follow in anyone’s footsteps but his own. Hoseok had given him his own identity back, ripped him free of the crushing responsibilities he’d always had.

He didn’t know a mere human would be able to do that for him, but he didn’t mind. Hoseok was perfection to him in every way possible, and he didn’t know if he could hold back his feelings any longer.

When Hoseok sat next to him on the couch and smiled at him, Yoongi snapped.

He didn’t even register his actions as he gazed into the humans eyes, leaning forward as, taking a leap of faith, attached his lips to Hoseok’s before the human could even say a word.
