Jazz's P.O.V.
Mom and I walked up to the front doors. I banged my fist on the front door. No one answered. So, I tried ringing the doorbell, to no avail. What the fuck were they doing in there? Was dad hosting an orgy? Joking aside, I pulled the key up from under the door mat and unlocked it myself.
Walking in, mom looked around. From the door, we walk to the living room. She took everything in, breathed and inhaled the life and happiness that had once taken place here.
"Same ugly fucking faded wallpaper... Same gray carpet... Same house..." She traced her finger on the walls, looking at every picture.
Zalgo sat on the chair that dad used to sit on with mom on his lap. I was anxious to see how he'd react.
Silver lay on the floor, entertaining Liu. When he saw me, he stood and walled over with a smile. Liu shot up and ran to mom.
"Mommy!" He began to cry, hugging her side very tightly. She lifted him with one arm, smiling, and kissed his head.
Silver walked over to me while mom was cuddling Liu. "Hey, princess." Silver kissed my cheek gently, to my growing embarrassment.
Mom didn't like this, and neither did Zalgo. Before Zalgo could even say something, Mom pulled him back by his hair.
"Who the fuck is this shithead? I'm gonna fuck him up if he touches you again, Jazz. Got that, pisshead? Did the sludge in your head you call a brain receive this?" She shook him a little, looking for a response.
Before he could say something, Opal walked out of her room. Her feet froze in place, and she stared intensely at mom, tears forming in her eyes.
"Opal...?" She couldn't move, all she could do was stand where she was.
"Mom..." She slowly approached Mom. Mom gently placed Liu on the floor and embraced Opal, smiling.
"I-I'm sorry for how I treated you... It was so wrong and disrespectful... I love you, Mom. I love you so much..." She pressed her face into my mother's chest, crying.
"You're my daughter, Opal. How could I ever stay angry at you? I love you too. I'm home, to stay."
My mother looked around and sighed. "Where the fuck is your father?" she groaned.
"Sleeping. He's been so depressed without you now, Mom. He needs you so badly." Opal answered, running to my dad's room.
A few minutes later, we heard a tired whine. "Opal, no one is important enough for me to have to get up out of bed, no one." He sounded like he'd been drinking all night. Definitely hungover.
Opal dragged him out of his room. He looked like how he he'd been for the past year: like he'd given up and it wasn't worth it anymore. Well he was in for a shock.
"Jeez, Jeff, you look like shit." Mom smiled warmly.
I practically blinked in the time it took for him to run over and scoop her up in his arms. It didn't take long for tears to start pouring out of his eyes.
"Iris! You're home! You're here, in my arms...You're actually home..." He cried into her softly, holding her as tight as he could. Whenever someone approached him with her, he'd walk to a different place in the house.
Crying, unable to think rationally, he began to scream things.
"You shouldn't have left me like that! I needed you here!" And, "If you ever do that again, I actually might go fucking crazier than I already am." And, "You're never going to be more than a few feet from me from now on, you get that?! Get that?!"
She kissed him softly to get him to calm down, obviously repulsed by his breath. Again and again, she kissed his lips, her hands cupping his face gently. "Okay, Jeff... I'm home. You're okay. We're okay."
"No. We're not okay. Because I'm serious, you're never leaving my side again, you here me?" He kissed her again, rougher now than last time, groping her butt. She let out a small moan. Ew, Mom and Dad. Ew.
Sitting down beside them, my dad finally let us all be together. Silver and Zalgo watched from the sidelines.
We were all talking and discussing things until my mom heard about what happened me. Squirming away from my dad (who was not happy she left his arms), she hugged me incredibly tightly in a hug.
"I'm so sorry, sweetie... Those fucking monsters..." She stroked my hair down softly, comforting me. I wanted to almost yell at her. Say something like "We'll you weren't fucking there, Mom. I've already been comforted a long time ago." But I didn't. I couldn't do nothing like that, especially after she came back so happy.
We were all enjoying family time until Mom jokingly touched Dad's crotch. He swept her up and carried her to the room, where we could hear their 'beautiful' noises. I say 'beautiful,' because the noises mainly consisted of grunt, moans, and the occasional "Oh fuck, Iris..." Good to have you back, Mom.
Kidding aside, I was so happy to have Mom home. We were a family again, a complete one.
