To (y/n), PAX this year had been the most packed it's been in a long time. She couldn't tell if it was because of all the new games releasing, or all the creators who had promised to be here. But nonetheless she was happy to be here, especially since she accompanied her closest friend; Mark.
He had begged her to come along with him this year since they had been too busy these past few weeks, to see each other. Mark blamed it on his work but (Y/n) knew the actual reason.
Her feelings over the past few years for her friend had blossomed into a full blown crush, and she was trying her hardest not to ruin their close relationship.
As Mark and (y/n) walked up to his signing booth, he gave her one last encouraging smile before she let him off.
" this has to be my favorite part of PAX "
Mark said to her earlier that day, when they were driving over to the convention.
" so many people from all over come to see me and this wonderful event, and I get to meet them all. It's hands down the best part of my year "
(Y/n) loved seeing him so full of joy and excitement, it made her feel the same way.
She watched him from afar, sitting with a couple of his friends who he introduced to her yesterday. The feeling of butterflies began to pour into her stomach as she watched him let out his contagious laughter when a fan showed him some sort of video.
With her heart pounding she continued to watch him, waiting for the moment he turned to look her way.
She couldn't ruin this, he wouldn't like her back: would he? She remembered the three words she practiced in sign language, constantly repeating them; thinking of him.
The moment came and he sent her a sweet glance, she took the opportunity and quickly and shook out the three signs with her hands.
He stopped for a moment, his face blank; her heart stopped and she wore the same face as him. But within seconds later, he managed to move his hands to make the signs
' I know '
She felt her face grow red, a dopey smile warming her features;
" he's such a dork "
She mumbled to herself.
