I hesitantly nodded at Brandon.
"Sure," I stood up from my seat giving a look to my friends.
"I know that you probably think im the biggest asshole right now, but please listen?" He begged
I rolled my eyes.
"Ally," he began. "You probably think I haven't noticed you this year, at all, but I have. I noticed you on you first day of middle school, your high ponytail swinging side by side, your bright pink braces sitting on your teeth, and when you met new friends and for nervous you'd always tuck an invisible strand of hair behind your ear," he blurted. "Everytime you got confused in a science lesson, you'd play with that leather bracelet on your right wrist and text your friends."
Brandon Campbell. The last person I'd think to remember all of those details.
"I didn't think anyone realised those," I said stuttering.
"Let me take you to the beach buggy?" Brandon asked once more.
"Oh Okay," I smiled.
He bent down and kissed my cheek lightly.
I re entered the cafeteria.
"Did someone have a quick fuck in the janitors closet?" Jo wiggled her eyebrows.
"what?!" I squealed. "No! Brandon asked me to the Beach Buggy this weekend,"
I sat down. Luke still hadn't said a word.
"Woah, I haven't even got a date yet," Jo sighed.
"Jo it's Friday, you're bound to be asked by someone at least by the end of school, the buggy is tomorrow,"
I was going to carry on my sentence when I was disturbed by a message from Beau.
Beauner: it's fridaaayy
Me: no, beau, no, it's fucking Januaryday.
Beauner: our movie fest!
I had totally forgot. It had become a tradition since we were younger to have a Friday sleepover at least every two weeks and watch movies, make forts, and act like children for a bit.
Me: oh! Could I invite Jo tonight?
Beauner: it wouldn't hurt for Jai to lose it tonight, yes she may come ;)
Me: that's my best friend your talking about!
Beauner: I don't recall talking about me..
I rolled my eyes smiling.
"Me and Beau are having a movie fest, Jo you're coming with," I stated.
"You can't just invite people to my house!" Luke exclaimed.
"Beau said it was okay-"
"It doesnt matter!" He threw a fit and left the lunch room.
"Drama queen," Jai sing-songed.
-
"Okay I got, The Breakfast Club, Perks of Being a Wallflower, Mean Girls, HSM 1-3, Insidious, You're Next, Sinister-" Beau listed.
"HORRORS!" I squealed. "Put You're Next on first!"
We sat under the the fort we made out of the couch and duvets, blankets and pillows. Jai and Jo were wrapped under one fort and me and Beau under another.
Soon Luke joined us since there wasn't really anything else to do.
The movie started and I cuddled with Beau.
-
I woke up to see it was still dark outside and the movie mustve finished since it was back at the options menu.
I yawned, looking around everyone was asleep. I stood up unraveling myself from he caterpillar blanket I was in and made my way to the kitchen looking for a snack.
Angel cakes, Oreos, crisps, nutella.
I grabbed a few packets and jars of everything.
"BOO!" Two hands in my shoulder were instantly grabbed and due to my, trained, instincts I punched the person right in the bullseye.
He lay on the floor clutching his junk in pain.
"LUKE WHAT THE FUCK I HAD A HEART ATTACK!" I grabbed my chest.
He stood up and continued to laugh.
"Get out!" I yelled.
"No!" He answered.
"What are you even doing here?" I questioned and made my way to the so for couch, pushing past him.
"Why do you hate me so much?"
"I didn't say I hated you," I smirked.
"Yeah you did," he answered.
"Well..." I started.
"Why then?" He was now sitting next to me.
I paused. I blushed. Unblushed. Carried on eating.
"You know you might have a crush on me because every relationship starts with hate," he said cheekily.
"Are you implying that we're going to be in a relationship?!" I said shocked.
"What? No. Ew gross."
