Penny and her gross boyfriend stay close together as we all stand outside on the track field, waiting for instructions. Bradley squeezes by a few people to stand by me. I huff, and scoot over. Wolves like me are extremely claustrophobic. Bradley keeps scooting over to me, and finally I whisper, "Stop following me." Bradley ignores me and keeps sliding over. I feel my eyes change from blue to hazel, and I close my eyes. Taking one deep breath I let my fangs grow out so I can scare him away. He jumps back, tripping on a twig and falling into Penny's boyfriend. "Luke! Baby, are you ok?" She shouts, glaring at Bradley. I close my mouth as my fangs turn into regular teeth. "Did any of you see that? Her teeth are....fangs!"

The whole class laughs but immediately stops when Mr. Oliver comes outside. "We're going to play the guess and say game. If you don't know how to play, one person comes in the center of the circle and chooses someone in the circle. The person in the circle will guess two things or adjectives about that person, and then the person chosen comes in the circle and does the same. Understand?" He explains. Everyone says yes and forms a circle. Luke steps in the circle first and chooses Penny. "Penny's hot and an amazing kisser," he says. Everyone pretends to gag as Penny comes in the circle. "Bradley. Bradley's a dork and he's never kissed a girl," Penny snickers. Everyone chuckles and Bradley glares at Penny.

"Okay...I choose Goth Girl." "My name is Jana, dork," I say. A few people chuckle. "Okay, JANA. Jana is....a Goth Girl and a FREAK. I mean come on, nobody else saw those fangs coming from her mouth? I think she's a monster," Bradley says, staring at me in suspicion. "I'm not a monster. Don't call me that," I snap. I hate when people call me a monster. Wolves aren't monsters! Heck, I'M a wolf! "She's defending herself! She IS a monster!" Bradley shouts. "Don't....say.....that!" I snarl, my eyes immediately turning hazel. Some people gasp as my white fur grows on my arms. I look around as everyone stares at me like I'm an alien.

Slowly, then faster, I walk away. I can't control the hairs sprouting from my face as my bones crack and I am a wolf. Fortunately, no one saw me transform. My wolf wants to attack Penny and Bradley, but my human mind hates the thought of attacking people. Without thinking my four legs sprint towards Bradley and tackles him. Bradley screams as I drool on him, my eyes full of hatred. "Someone help me!" He screams. Everyone except Penny, Luke, and Mr. Oliver run away. I howl and begin to rip Bradley's shirt off. I get so upset that I bite his arm. Luke calls the police and in a minute, they're here with animal control. I growl at Luke and charge towards him. Luke runs but not as fast as a human and a wolf combined.

I step in front of him and scratch his leg. Luke runs even faster, and I let him go. Finally, turning my attention back to Bradley, I trot towards him until the animal control steps in front of him. I show them my fangs and head for the woman with the taser. "She needs to be put to sleep!" One of the policemen says, following me with his gun. I knock the taser out of the woman's hand and bark at her. She backs away and tells the other animal control worker to get back in the van. "Alright, Steve. There's only one needle in there. Aim it perfectly," the policeman says. The other cop with the gun nods sharply and shoots. Just in time I dodge the needle and run to the school.
