October 8th, please.

WENDY'S POV:

I finished guiding the water can around the garden in the back in a half hour. I smiled, happy with my work. The sun was fully up by now and the water gave the flowers the wet smell I loved. I breathed it in happily, closing my eyes to absorb the good weather.

It doesn't last long enough, a large cloud covers the California sun, and I decided to head inside.

The boys were gone from the coach, the laptop was closed and I assume the 'twit-cam' had ended.

The sudden sound of a crash catches my attention and I rush to the loud noise. I am relieved to find out nothing broke when I enter the music room where the boys are setting up their instruments. My hand clasped over my heart in shock of the surprised noise.

"Dear lord! Y'all nearly gave me a heart attack!" I stammer, my breath uneven.

"Oh sorry Wendy, but it's not like having a heart attack changes much for you!" Ashton jokes, while he fixes his drum kit up.

"Hey! It's an expression!" I laugh along with the others.

"Well we are just gonna practice if that's okay." Michael tells me, strumming a few cords on the guitar in him arms.

"Yeah, I'd love to hear you play!" I clap my hands together in excitement. I was intrigued in their band, the videos I had watched the previous day were very good. A few I had recognized as covers from a while back. I don't know if it was that I was excited to finally have noise in this house or that I really did like the music.

I took a carefully seat on the floor in front of the small 'stage' of the music room. I brushed my dress out nicely and began to twirl with a wave a hair.

"Over and over?" Calum looks to the others as the finish tuning the instruments they cradled.

"Yeah, on five?" Bandanna boy answers for the rest. The thuds of the drums go to the beat of my heartbeat. Slowly the strums of the strings blend into the tune and create music. Their voices piping in every once in a while to add to the song. Their lips pressed against their microphones. The song ends with one last note.

I open my eyes, which I didn't realize were closed. They all look at me with hope that they were good enough. "That was amazing." I smile.

"Really?" Luke questions, his eyes wide and hopeful.

"Are you kidding me, it was absolutely perfect." My voice hums.

"Thanks." They mumble in unison. I'm about to ask for another song but a knock intrupt the moment, and I knew that was my time to poof in front of their eyes.

The person barges in, not waiting for one of them to answer. It's a man, probably in his late forties. He wears a t-shirt and blue jeans. In his hand is a folder with papers spilling out the sides.

"Sorry to scary you boys. We need to get right to work on this album." The man says, not bothering to greet them.

"It's okay Harvey, we were just practicing." The boys tell him and place down the tools that were making such beautiful sounds minutes ago.

They all head into the kitchen, the man named Harvey begins to lay out his papers across the island in the middle while the others surround him.

"I made you boys copies of the calendar of who's working when. I gave you the weekends and Thursdays off. Is there any other day you need off?" He hands them each a calendar with their names on the front.

"October 8th, please." Michael tells Harvey.

"Okay. I'll move that writing time to that Thursday then, is that okay?" He begins to make notes in his papers, planning every detail out. I stand behind the boys, making sure to get a good view of everything.

"Why October 8th?" Luke whispers to Michael, I can barley hear.

"I'll tell you after he leaves, he shouldn't take too long."

"You know where the office is, that should be all you need. Are there any questions? I just had to drop that off." Harvey gathers the papers he left astray.

"No sir." They answer, waiting for him to leave.

"That should be all, have a nice week." The man leaves almost instantly. I watch him roll out of the long drive way just to be safe, then I appear.

"Why October 8th, Michael?" Luke repeats his question from earlier.

"It's Wen's death day, the only day she can leave the house out of the whole year. I don't want to work when we could go out and have fun with her." He mutters back.

"That's really nice of you Michael, you really don't have to do that." I thank him. He's a little started as I just piped up in front of his face like that.

"Oh, Wen. I didn't see you there, and yes I do. I want to." He argues, showing off a little grin.

"You're so kind Michael, and you barely know me." I embrace him in a quick hug.

"Actually I do know you." I hear the colored haired boy mumble softly so I couldn't hear, but I caught his words.

"What?" I look at him with a puzzled face, a smirk still lying on my lips.

"I didn't say anything." He lies, brushing it off and begins to make his way to the others who are picking up their instruments again. "We should continue to practice."

"Okay, I enjoy listening." I state while taking the same seat as before.

"Out of my limit?"

{this is an extra update cause I might not update this following weekend, it's my concert. It was long, but a filler. The next chapter involves Ash, and it's not a filler. Notice that I don't skip weeks or anything, everything is happening slowly, the last chapter, this one, and the next chapter are all one.

I'm sorry the dates and stuff are wrong probably, last year was a blur. The time when 5sos were in LA is really fuzzy. So if you want to help me out just dm me stuff.

I will add one direction later, they aren't important yet, plus Wen doesn't know who they are. She died before they became famous.

Love you lots!
