Shocked, Zayn stared at Maliya.

One moment she looked like the whole world was collapsing around her, and the next she was flashing him a radiant smile.

'This lady's going to give a heart attack someday' he thought, smiling back at her.

Less than five minutes staying with Maliya, and he had experienced emotions he didn't think existed.

He had thought falling in love was calculative, that one had to invest the right amount of time and resources as well as control one's feelings in order to get the feeling reciprocated.

But this.

He could never, even in his wildest dreams imagine that love could turn him into this.....for lack of a better term, love sick puppy.

And what was even more unfathomable to him was how much he was willing to invest in this irrevocably bewitching feeling.

He knew he was being foolish.

But strangely enough, he knew he would gladly turn into a fool if it meant he could see the radiant smile on Maliya's lips.

It didn't matter to him that each time she smiled, she destroyed him in ways that only she could fix.

He would gladly be ripped into strands of nothingness by her if it meant she would pay him even the slightest bit of attention.

Staring into the eyes that had rendered him incapable of any logical thought, he found himself once again being pulled towards her.

An animalistic urge to possess her heart till she wasn't capable of thinking about anyone else but him consumed him.

He wanted so desperately to be in her every thought, to dominate her senses, to leave her in a state where she recognised him as her home, like he did her.

He had no idea when she crept inside his heart and made it her home, or even if she knew that she resided in it.

All he knew was that she owned him.

Maliya who had been thinking about how she was going to begin her story, was pulled out of her thoughts by Zayn.

She felt a shudder go through her at the raw emotions expressed in his eyes.

She had severally heard the saying 'the eyes are the Windows to the soul'.

The saying couldn't have been more true.

As if having a staring contest with her teacher in the class wasn't absurd enough, the way her heartbeat quickened left her shutting her eyes, head lowered in embarassment.

"Maliya" the husky voice of the man before her had her knees going weak, hands clutching the chair on which she sat for support.

Zayn smiled, exhilarated to see how much of an effect he had on his Maliya.

He could hear her ragged breath, see her tensed muscle, feel her shaken aura.

It was all he could do not to go completely mad.

Restraining the devil in him, he pushed away all the thoughts running through his mind.

"Maliya, tell me what happened" he uttered, his voice more controlled.
