The next day or later that day if you will, he picked me up and took me to the train station. When we arrived, we walked about halfway to the train station.
"So, about last night. I would like to know your decision sooner rather than later", I said.
"Oh, yeah, totally! I don't want you to think that I'm leading you on. I'll probably decide by Monday", he said.
"Oh, so soon?"
"Want me to decide now?"
"Do you even have a decision now?"
"No, I don't."
"Then Monday it is." And with that he kissed me on the cheek and we went our separate ways. All throughout the weekend, I kept thinking about the possible outcomes. I had hope that he would be willing to wait and still date (Hey! That rhymed!). But deep down I had a feeling that he wouldn't want to continue. I was hoping he would still want to be my friend. I know we agreed to be friends but what if he changes his mind about that too? My mind had all sorts of thoughts running through it. I had to prepare and accept whatever decision he made. It was a long weekend to say the least.
