"So...Jungkook, when did you and Namjoon started talking?" The brown-haired guy asked, shoving saggy french fries in his mouth-- scrutinizing an uncomfortable Jungkook under his gaze.

"The week before last week," he replied curtly. Jungkook glanced at Namjoon who was beside the brown-haired male. Namjoon could only smile (that's starting to look like an embarrassed grin) at Jungkook, discreetly mouthing "I'm sorry" for his friend's behavior.

Jungkook smiled back, insinuating an "It's okay, I got this" expression on his face.

Nobody told Jungkook he'd be immediately put in the hot seat at lunch break in front of all of Namjoon's pals at their usual spot in the cafeteria. Oh, on second thought, Taehyung did told him-- which was a few hours before it would happen. It's safe to say he wasn't prepared enough for what was about to come.

Taehyung decided to make decisions for him without even telling him first. His best friend really thought he could play matchmaker. The silver-haired had the audacity to bargain with Jimin, saying he knew Jimin's secret santa's identity. In exchange of that, Jimin had to let Jungkook and Taehyung sit with him and Namjoon at lunch. Consequently, that meant they had to sit with Namjoon's friends from other classes.

It was only natural for Jimin to wonder why would Taehyung want to sit with them at lunch, so he asked about it. Taehyung outright told Jimin that Jungkook had a crush on his best friend. That Jungkook might actually be head over heels in love with Namjoon so Taehyung needed Jimin's help in order for them to get together.

"I'm not in love with him, you idiot!" Jungkook said that. He smacked Taehyung's head lightly while Taehyung was telling him what happened.

Jungkook's biggest concern was...he didn't even need Taehyung's help. He was doing fine on his own. His relationship with Namjoon was going well and he's okay for the way things were. He'd also like to keep it that way.

But Taehyung insisted that he should befriend Namjoon's friends first before he even thought of, according to Taehyung's words, "making Namjoon his."

Taehyung still hadn't gotten the memo yet. Jungkook didn't want Taehyung's help because he didn't even know if he was really sure enough to pursue Namjoon. It made him wonder if what he's feeling for Namjoon wasn't fleeting. He needed time to think about what he truly felt for Namjoon.

Instead, he's forced to sitting with them on their table, being critically judged by Namjoon's friends while trying to answer all their questions, feigning confidence, and acting like he's not terrified of them. He refused to feed them the satisfaction if he appeared to be a tiny bit scared.

The brown-haired male, named Jackson, nodded and asked, "How did you two became friends?"

"I saw Namjoon by chance inside a candy store one night when I was at the mall, then I recognized him. He was short in money so I helped him. Then I offered to give him a ride. We started talking from then on and the rest is history," Jungkook said.

Jimin was looking at Namjoon, perplexed. Namjoon had never told him that that happened to him. He didn't know there was actually something going on with his friend and Jungkook.

"Why are you suddenly interested with talking to our Namjoon?" Mark asked, not bothering to hide his obvious distaste to the raven haired. He was giving Jungkook the stink eye-- scratch that, all of them were giving Jungkook the stink eye. However, Jungkook didn't waver and stared back confidently at Mark.
