Namjoon was clutching his new Ryan plushy as he watched Jungkook choose a song in the karaoke machine. There was nothing much to look at, really. The booth was small and a little bit scary, especially if you're alone with someone you're apparently in love with. Unfortunately for Namjoon, he's in that exact situation.
Jungkook looked over his shoulder and gave Namjoon a dubious smirk. Jungkook was already holding the mic. He brought it close to his mouth and turned around to face Namjoon.
"Namjoon, this is for you," Jungkook said with an accent. Namjoon started to giggle, shaking his head when he heard Jungkook's familiar Busan accent. It's not the first time he had heard of Jungkook's accent, but it certainly was the first time he had heard of Jungkook using his accent intentionally. He would usually only hear the brunette mutter or curse using his real accent.
The cramped booth started to be filled with the song's familiar tune. Namjoon's ears perked up when he recognized the song. His mouth made a little 'o' shape after realizing Jungkook's going to sing that song... for him.
The brunette cleared his throat. He stared at Namjoon pretending like he's some kind of male lead in a classic cliché teen movie. He bobbed his head and cleared his throat first before singing the first verse.
"No limit in the sky that I won't fly for ya. No amount of tears on my eyes that I won't cry for ya, oh no~"
Damn Jungkook for being good at singing in almost perfect English. Which made Namjoon wonder because Jungkook once had the lowest score in their English exam. Jungkook sang soft and sweet, stressing every word like he really meant it. The purple haired boy couldn't look away no matter how intense they held their gazes towards each other.
"With every breath that I take, I want you to share that air with me."
Jungkook's eyes had so much meaning in them, looking at Namjoon with that longing look on his face. Somewhat like pining. Wanting to grasp him like he's made of delicate thread with his nimble fingers. Jungkook was subtle yet so explicit. Namjoon wasn't sure what he's supposed to feel.
"When it comes to you, there's no crime. Let's take both of our souls and intertwine." Jungkook laughed while singing, but nothing like a few laughters could deny how he meant every word he uttered.
"Woahhh Jungkook-ah!" Namjoon cheered for him.
Ignoring the way the lyrics had tickled his heartstrings. Jungkook was too much.
"Share my life, it's yours to keep. Now I give to you all of me."
What Jungkook was trying to convey was too much.
Blood started to rise in the purple haired's round cheeks. Poor Ryan was squashed in Namjoon's grasp. And poor Namjoon for falling deeper for his dear friend.
Oh yeah. Friend.
"When it comes to you don't be blind." Jungkook shook his head softly and walked closer. "Watch me speak from my heart when it comes to you." He bended forward and made a finger heart at Namjoon.
That earned a giggle from Namjoon. "Oh, Jungkook." He shook his head at the other's silly tactic.
"Comes to you~"
Jungkook started to dance once the beat dropped. Namjoon watched him with his mouth wide open. Namjoon knew he wasn't a dancer but he was confident to conclude that Jungkook knew his moves.
"So cool, Jungkook-ah!" he shouted. He clapped giddily as Jungkook graciously moved his arms into snakelike movements or whatever dancers call that.
