• Jack's pov •

"I think I might do it Conor." I said to my shocked brother, his mouth literally dropped.
"If you want to, I mean, is he the one?" He asked, I shot a glare at him.
"Of course he is! He's all I think about and he's why I don't focus. Joe's my world." I passionately said and Conor nodded, he hugged me and ruffled my hair.
"You go do it little brother, I'll be with you every step of the way." He said and I thanked him for being there.

"Right you should go ring shopping, wanna gather the boys and do it? Everyone except Joe of course." Conor asked and I agreed, setting up a group chat to ask them.

Me - hey guys, I need you all to be free tomoro at around midday for an important shopping trip
Mikey - what's it for?
Oli - ye and why isn't Joe in this group?
Caspar - OMG R U GONNA BUY US PIZZA?!
Conor - We'll tell you tomoro, meet us at Joeck's at midday pls
Josh - I guess I can be free, will meet u there dw

"Ok so tomorrow we'll go shopping, hope everyone's happy for me..." I doubted the boy's faith in me for the hundredth time that day.
"It'll be ok Jack! They've accepted you two for these past 5 years so why is making it official gonna be any different?" Conor reassured me and I shook my head.
"You're right, no need to worry." I looked at the time and smiled.
"Guess I better be picking up Joe from his meeting, you're welcome to stay the night." I said and got up, Conor thanked me and I left.

(Time skip to when Joe's back)

"Hey Conor! You sleeping over?" Joe asked when he sat down on our sofa. My brother nodded and winked me. Joe rested his head on my shoulder.
"Babe I'm tired." Joe mumbled, I laughed and stroked his hair.
"Wanna go to bed then?" I asked, Joe agreed and I picked him up and laid him down on the white silk sheets of our bed.
"I'm just gonna go set up the guest room for Conor and I'll be back to cuddle babe." I whispered.
"Ok don't be too long, I need you!" Joe moaned, I kissed him then went to meet Conor in his room.

"Get a good night's sleep Jack, you need to be fully awake to make this decision." Conor warned me, I sighed.
"Yeah I know, gonna go now. Night Con and thanks."
"No problem little bro, you need me so I'm here for you. Night." And I went back to mine and Joe's room to find my boyfriend sleeping peacefully.
"Good night babe, love you."

Morning

All the boys met round mine and Joe went off to his sisters for the day.
"Ok then Jack, what's the important thing?" Josh asked and folded his arms, which made me even more nervous than I was. I took a deep breath and Conor stood by my side.
"So you know that I've been going out with Joe for a while now and you know he's my world." I started, everyone nodded.
"I think it's time to make everything official and propose so I need you to help me choose a ring for him." I curled up inside but I was back to my normal self when everyone hugged me.

"Aw mate, of course we'll help you." Mikey said and the boys agreed.
"Thank you so much, this means a lot." I teared up and laughed at myself. Why was I getting so emotional?
"Right then, operation find Joe a ring is under way! Let's go!" Caspar shouted and we all piled out of the front door.

• Joe's pov •

I sat on Zoe's sofa with my cup of tea and sighed. I felt terrible as I hadn't spent that much time Jack lately because of the meetings and all that boring stuff.
"Are you ok Joe?" My sister turned her head a bit in, trying to work out what was up.
"I guess I am, it's just that I miss spending time with Jack. It's my fault though because I've got so much going on at the moment, I just don't have enough time. I even fell straight asleep when I got home last night with no cuddles or anything! I'm a terrible boyfriend." I let my thoughts out and Zoe hugged me tight.
"You're not a terrible boyfriend, I'm sure Jack understands and is being very patient. You'll soon get back to all those cuddles and movie nights on the sofa, I'm sure of it. But for now just look forward to them days." She said, keeping eye contact and reassuring me.
"Thanks Zoe, I'm glad I have you."
"Don't mention it, that's what big sisters are here to do."

We spent the rest of the day watching movies and just chatting about our lives. Then the topic of weddings popped up.
"So has Alfie dropped any hints of a proposal yet? You've been together for ages!" I asked, Zoe shook her head at the question though.
"No, unless I'm blind, I haven't noticed any. What about Jack?" She turned the question on me and it was my turn to shake my head.
"I wish he did, I'd love to make it official but nothings happened. Though he was acting weird with Conor yesterday." I brought up yesterday when Jack was being very secretive. It made me think.
"Omg Joe, he might be planning something! Oo I'm excited now, please keep me updated about it!" Zoe excitedly said and jumped a little on the sofa, I just laughed at her.

The idea of me being a Maynard stuck in my head for the rest of the night. Joe Maynard, sounded Right.
