Zak POV
My vision was cloudy as I opened my eyes. There was a slight ringing in my ears as I stood up. To my surprise, it was now daylight and the guys were gone. I looked around at my surroundings, noticing the sheets on the furniture were now gone and things that were not there before, were now.
I started to hear a mumbled humming coming from upstairs and I went to go check it out. At the top of the stairs, the humming was now louder and coming from up in the tower. I took a deep breath and walked cautiously up the steps.
When I made it to the top, I noticed a woman sitting behind the desk. She was writing and looked like she was lost in thought. She looked up at me and smiled. I was so confused. Just then a tall man, with a short top hat walked through me smiling back at her. What the hell was this?
"Robert darling, the house is coming along perfectly! When do you think it will be finished dear?" The woman now stood, greeting him with a kiss to to the cheek.
"Patience Mary. It will all come together in time. Well, I best be on my way, I have some workers coming by to clear out an area in the woods." He leaned down, kissing her passionately upon the mouth and spun her around, her dress lifting slightly at the motion.
They held eachother for a short while and he departed, walking straight through me again. They were clearly madly in love with eachother. You could see it in their eyes. He wasn't the same man I had seen before, he was different, he was light itself. So what happened?
I followed him down the stairs, where a small group of workers were spread out throughout the house. He greeted each of them by name, them smiling back in response. He made his journey outside and met a few workers out by the woods. They shook hands, debriefed and started walking through the woods.
The energy wasn't like before. It was calm, peaceful and you could hear the birds singing a cheery tune. I followed them until they finally came to a stop near the edge of the woods. The school was visible from where we stood and I could hear the waves crashing into the bank nearby.
"Okay men, I want a clear path going straight through where we just walked and turn off towards the lake there. Also, make a small clearing so the girls have somewhere to play." He said with a smile on his face.
"Your girls are adventurous eh?" A man from the group asked.
"Ah yes indeed. My little explorers. I want to create something out here for them to safely explore."
Shortly after I heard two young girls singing behind me, running up to Robert. They were definitely twins. They had long auburn hair that was tied back with white ribbons and had on matching yellow dresses with knee high stockings underneath. They giggled as the rocks, twigs and other items fell from their hands.
"Ah there's my girls! What do you got there?" He bent down to examine their findings.
"Just some things we found papa! Ooo, it's pretty out here!" One girl exclaimed.
"What are you doing out here papa, can we help you?" The other girl spoke, looking at her surroundings.
"No girls, papa is doing something very special for you girls and you wouldn't want to ruin the surprise now would you?"
"No..." They both said in saddened voices.
"Run along now girls, your mother should have dinner ready soon." He ruffled their hair softly, making them both giggle and they ran off towards the house.
"Also men, make a den for them to play in just over there. They would love that."
"Yes sir." They said in unison and began clearing out the area.
