"Eomma, when are we going? You're taking forever in there!" I complained in front of the master's bedroom, where my mom was preparing the essentials for the trip.

We were going to my hometown, Busan, for winter break.

"Is your coat ready, Jiminie?" She opened the door with a big luggage. I nodded with a sigh. "You don't have to bring THAT much, you know."

She patted my shoulders. "Men and women are different, son. Don't compare me to you father who doesn't even wash his hair for five days."

I rolled my eyes at her statement. I've been forcing my mom to let us go to Busan since there's someone I've been wanting to see more than anything in the world.

My first love, (y/n).

I stepped out of the train excitedly when the sign showed 'Busan' in big letters. "Son, help your mom over here!" I heard my dad's voice from behind.

I ignored both of them and ran down the silent streets, the moon shining down at me.

I could still remember where her house was very clearly, and the small river both of us used to bathe in.

Memories of the both of us together flooded back to my mind, giving me a nostalgic feeling.

Actually, she has never been conscious about my feelings towards her. But I'm just hoping she likes me back, too.

We're staying in grandma's house for the whole winter break, which gave me an advantage since (y/n)'s house was only two blocks away from grandma's.

It was quite dim already when we arrived at grandma's home, but that didn't stop me from having a chance to visit her.

"Yah, before you leave the house, wear your coat. I wouldn't want you to catch a cold." Mom's voice rang through my eardrums. I sighed and did as she told me to, leaving my coat unbuttoned.

I pulled my turtle neck higher and wrapped myself in my fluffy brown scarf I got from grandpa as I stepped out. The cold and chilly air greeted me and I took my time to look at my surroundings while I walked to her house.

I stopped by her house's doorstep and took a deep breath before I pressed the doorbell.

(Y/n)'s sister was the one who opened the door.

"Oh, Jimin-hyung's here! Its been a while." She greeted me with her eye-smile. I ruffled her hair. "Yah, stop doing that! I'm sixteen years old already." She swatted my arm playfully.

"You've grown so much already." I grinned.

She scoffed, "And you haven't even grown an inch taller."

"Yah! Don't tease me! At least I still have a good looking face." I smirked and she rolled her eyes.

"Where's (y/n)?" I peeked behind her, hoping she'll eventually pop out and greet me.

"Oh, you didn't know..." She partly covered her mouth, her smile faltering.

"Why? What happened to her?" Worry spread across my face and my palms started to get sweaty. She sighed and looked at me.

"Unnie... she's been in a state of coma for three months already..." My eyes widened when I heard her condition. "H-her ex abused her, and she hit her head on their dining table."

My face fell as I worried about her. "She hasn't opened her eyes yet..." Then she looked at me with a glint of hope in her eyes. "Visit her, hyung! Maybe she's only been waiting for you in order for her to open her eyes."

I smiled, "In what hospital is she checked in?"

'Room 709'. I looked at the door and opened it silently, only to be greeted by the white walls and shining, bright lights.

And then I saw her. With her eyes closed, it seemed like she finally found peace, but I know, it isn't her time yet.

I pulled a chair beside her bed and placed the small teddy bear on the nightstand.  I grabbed her hand that had a needle pierced through it, which was connected to another tube.

The whole room was silent, with only the machine tracking her heartbeat killing the silence.

I lifted her hand up to my lips and kissed it repeatedly, hoping it would cause her to wake up.

"Hayst. This is such a bad timing, you know." I trailed off. "I was hoping I could confess my feelings to you tonight, but the whole world decided to go against me and made you close your eyes and sleep for a long time."

"You always said that if you're sad or hurt, you'd want me to kiss your pain away." I said, looking at her lips.

"I know it would be crazy if I'd take advantage of you while you're unconscious, but I know you're in so much pain right now. And I want them to stop."

I smiled sadly as I stopped talking and leaned in. My lips touched hers, and I could feel the coldness of her lips pass on to mine.

A hand tugged on my hair and pulled me closer, making my eyes go wide. Her lips started to move with mine in sync and I pulled away with my eyes wide.

"(Y/n)...! Since when were you-"

"Ever since you kissed my hand." She looked at me with a smile on her lips that I just touched. I covered my mouth with the back of my hand, blood rising to my face.

"So you heard-"

"Yes, I heard everything. So you finally confessed, huh?" She looked at me cockily. "For your infomation, I've been waiting for you to say that to me for the past few years. But until you left for Seoul, those words never came out of your mouth." She pouted.

"By the way, you're a really good kisser." She smirked. I looked away as embarrassment took over me. But I shook it off and held her face with my hands, kissing her once more.

She didn't hesitate to kiss me back, her lips becoming warm as I passed my heat onto her.

I pulled away. "So we're even now."

She laughed and nodded.

Suddenly, the door opened to reveal her sister smiling happily. "Unnie! You're awake!" She ran to her sister on the bed and hugged her as tight her arms could go.

"Can't... breath.." (Y/n) tapped her back repeatedly, wanting her sister to let go of her. "Are you okay? Does your head hurt?"

"How long have I been asleep?" She looked around with squinted eyes. "Three months."

"Well shit. Did I miss anything important?"

Her sister scoffed. "Yeah you did. You missed seeing that pshcho ex-boyfriend of yours locked up behind bars."

She frowned and shook her head. "Forget him. I have someone else now," She turned and looked up to me.

"And I know I'm safe with him."
