Awake

I waved my hand at the six boys as I walked farther and farther away from them, a sad smile plastered on my lips.

"Hyung, I'll miss you!" Jungkook, the maknae, jumped as he shouted, waving his hands repeatedly. His eyes were puffy from crying, and so was the others.

"Hyung! Come back to us, okay? Don't leave us!" Jimin cupped his mouth in his hands as he shouted those words.

I pursed my lips and stopped walking for a moment, nodding my head repeatedly as tears threatened to fall down my cheeks.

I'm not the type to cry easily, but these six boys who are meters apart away from me is a different story. They're like my family, and I don't want to leave my family behind.

At last, I waved one last time and turned around, heading to the waiting area of the airport.

I dared not to look back at the boys, since I know I'd break if I see them again at this time.

If you're curious to where I'm going, I've been enlisted for military service, and I'll be gone for almost two years.

Yes, I know, its disappointing, but its required for me to join.

I sat at the waiting area and took my phone out. A message popped up from Namjoon.

NJ: We're not leaving until we see you get up from that chair and head to the plane.

I smiled as I saw what he sent.

Eventually, my flight was called, meaning I had to go now.

I stood up and turned back to see them standing by the entrance as they waved for the last time.

Taehyung was crying on Jungkook's shoulder while Jimin had Yoongi's arm patting his back.

My heart shattered to pieces as I saw their current state.

I smiled painfully and finally walked towards the plane.

I sighed.

After a month, the six boys got a bit more used to the fact that Jin wasn't with them anymore.

Although they would bring up Jin in their conversations from time to time, as if they were fine, deep inside, they miss him more than anything.

In fact, Jungkook has his own pillow with Jin's face imprinted on it. He said he bought it in one of those k-pop stores.

The other members had their own ways on how to keep a memory of Jin with them.

On the other side, Jin felt homesick. He missed the dorm and the ones who were living in it- the six dorks.

He sighed as he put on his military cap, heading to training.

He received stares from the other men as he walked around, looking for a spot. Some snickered, "Tss. He looks like a wuss."

He hung his head down, 'I should ignore them.' he thought.

Training was tiring, but luckily, his body was in good shape.

After the session, all of them headed to their rooms. He dug in his bag and pulled out a small paper.

It wasn't just a random paper, but it was a picture of the seven of them during one of their dance practices.

He couldn't help but smile as he remembered their silly actions that day.

"Yah, Jimin-ssi, that's the fifth time you sighed today. What's up?" Jungkook peeked beside his hyung who had his head thrown back on the car seat.
