Chapter 3

We were on the plane within two hours. I didn't really understand this whole rush but I guess it didn't really matter. I was beyond excited. I had never been anywhere else in the world yet another state. The camp was my home and I didn't have a problem with that but I did enjoy an adventure.

"Want?" Holly didn't even look at me as she shook the pack of pods in front of my face. I swear this girl ate like a pig but could still walk down a runway like a super model.

"What are you even watch..." I was cut off by a blow to the face with a pack of pods as she hushed me angrily.

"This is the best part!" I leaned over, staring at her screen. Magic Mike was playing and Channing Tatum was stripping. I rolled my eyes at my best friend as she squealed madly.

"Channing Tatum is god. If he ever said, fuck me Holly, I would not argue." She told me truthfully and I bit down hard on my lip to contain my laughter from the entire plane.

"Channing Tatum is a joke." With that I got a very hard slap on the arm. "Ouch!"

"Don't judge god, you will go to hell."

"I've killed enough werewolves to already go to hell Holly." I smiled and she shrugged, not being able to argue. If there was a hell, I definitely had the first ticket down that highway. "Anyway, what will your brother say if he finds you watching male strippers?"

"I'm 19, not 16 Jade. He can't tell me shit anymore." She shoved another pod into her mouth and chewed noisily. I wanted to slap her. "He would always act older than he really was, always being the better one in the situation. He forgets we're the same age and he is not the older brother to tell me off and threaten my boyfriends."

"He doesn't have to be older to threaten your many boyfriends Hol." I laughed.

"Whatever." She changed the subject. "I can't believe you don't like Channing Tatum. That man is my chocolate frog on top of a sundae."

No one took a chocolate frog on top of a sundae away from Holly. Holly would probably scoop their eyes out with a spoon. Yes she was obsessed with those things. Don't mess with a trained hunter with an obsession of chocolate frogs.

"He's not that good looking without the muscles and muscles don't mean much to me. Werewolves have a bunch of them, so do hunters, so I see it everyday. They're not a big deal."

"You're no fun anymore now that you're married. You'll never see a hot guy the same again." This made me sink further into my chair. Holly thought Brenton and I actually loved each other? Love was the wrong word. I would never be allowed to actually fall in love. I had never fallen in love with anyone in my life. All because I was married to a man who didn't really give a shit about me. I bet he didn't even know my middle name. I was only a good hunter to him and someone who could keep his nights entertaining. I don't know why he chose me. He had every other hunter dying over him and his good looks and power. Brenton thought of me as a little girl, not his wife. He thought I was incapable of really doing any damage. Hopefully this mission would change things.

I was glad when Jason poked his head over the chair and changed the subject.

"We're landing soon." Then his eyes flickered over to Holly, narrowing. "What are you watching?"

"Beauty and the beast. It's my favourite part, they're dancing." Holly cooed and I rolled my eyes. Jason still looked suspicious but returned to his spot. I found my mind wondering off to the disney movie, beauty and the beast. How had Belle ever fallen in love with such a monster, prince or not? It reminded me of a werewolf and I shook my head in disgust. I know that if I ever had the chance, I would never fall in love with a beast. Belle was a fool and weak. I was a hunter. And I was a fucking badass. I would prove it to Brenton that I was capable of doing more than he thought. That I was capable of being a hunter and boy was I going to be the best fucking hunter he had ever laid his eyes on.
