𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝟳 ━━ GOOSE IS SUPERIOR! WHAT ABOUT IT?
"GOOSE, come here!" Aella motioning the orange furred cat towards her way. Yet, Goose hopped unto Carol's lap, a pout forming on her lips as Goose snuggled herself in. Aella tapping Carol's shoulder to get her attention.
Carol looking over to her right to see Aella pouting, her eyes shining and twinkling with desire for the cat in Carol's lap. Smiling at Aella, Carol took her hand off of one of the controllers and petted Goose before giving the cat over to Aella.
"Thank you!" Aella happy with joy as Goose was put into her arms, the cat purring under her touch.
"Hey, Fury. Have these." Carol stretching her arm towards Nick to give him pictures of herself on Earth. Nick taking the pictures out of her hand, he looked at them considerably before looking at Carol.
"Six years ago." Carol explained, her eyes glancing over towards Aella, seeing the woman besides her play with the ginger cat. Slightly jealous of Aella's full attention on Goose even when she felt like she shouldn't be.
"Stop staring," Aella finally looking up from playing with Goose, "actually no- I like the attention you're giving me. It feels nice." The brunette smirking at seeing Carol blush visibly on her cheeks.
"I-I," Carol unable to speak as she looks away from Aella in embarrassment. Nick smiling to himself as he looks at the women in front of him.
"Get married already." Nick stated, leaning back in his seat.
Aella not saying anything in return before turning to looking at Nick before turning to Carol, smiling to herself as she plans to take notice of that in the future if her and Carol's relationship ever goes that far.
━━━━━━━━
Seeing as time passed, the sky got noticeably darker in sight, making it more harder for Carol to see through the cloudy fog that held up night sky and the dark hue to that also came due to the absence of the Sun's rays.
Everyone besides Carol was sleeping due to the fact that they didn't have to worry of them driving the plane so it wasn't one of their concerns. Nick silently passed out in the back with Goose on his lap and luckily to Carol, he did not snore, neither did Aella yet the brunette was gently sleeping, struggling to not wake up.
Carol looking away from the controls, she looks over at Aella and notices the way how she looks so much more peaceful, the way how her dark, chestnut hairs seem to frame her face more serene like, it gave Carol a feeling within her about Aella, somehow it seems to always get Carol when at the beginning of a first meet, you tend to look at people more differently as time goes on.
Aella shuffling in her seat, she begins to slowly open her eyes. The first thing her sight lands on is Carol which brings a smile to her face. Carol smiling back at her, the blonde whispering to not wake up Fury and Goose, "So, how was your little nap?"
Aella playfully rolling her eyes, "Yeah, it was pretty good especially when I caught your attention during the end of my rest." Carol shaking her head in reply.
"You just crave the attention, huh?" Carol focusing her attention back on the controls, not wanting to have the plane go down. Carol pressing a blue button on her right, Aella suddenly feels her chair connect with Carol's. The heat blowing in front of the two contrasting against the cool air that surrounds them.
Aella reaching forward out of her seat to press the auto-pilot on, she hits the coordinates of their destination from what Fury previously told them when still energetic. The auto-pilot command flashes green signifying it's take over of pilot. Sitting back down, Aella rests her head on Carol's shoulder, embracing the closeness between the two. Carol laying her head down softly on Aella's own head, she smiles to herself as she softly questions Aella. "You know. . . you never answered my question. I'm starting to wonder if you do."
Aella removing her head from Carol's shoulder to look up face to face with the blonde. Smiling, Aella shakes her head, "Maybe I do but I never knew that I'd like it best when it comes from you." Not saying anything else after that, Aella leans her head back on Carol's shoulder.
"Let me guess as to why you woke up- you had a nightmare about me because you just couldn't stand my face?" Carol lowering her head down on Aella's, appreciating the moment the two of them were having together.
"Oh, honey, no. That was actually the best part- being able to see your face. I wish I didn't have to wake up but if I didn't, I don't think I'd be able to see the real you. Now that would be a nightmare, but I guess it wasn't the first I've had and I'm pretty sure it won't be the last."
Carol blushing brightly to herself when hearing Aella as well as secretly thanking the lighting due to the fact that Aella couldn't see her reaction, "You certainly have a way with words. Let me guess. . . this isn't the first time you talked to someone like this? And what gives you nightmares?"
"It actually is my first. No one has really gotten that far as to know me that yet and neither would allow them. . . if they weren't dead." Aella barely spoke above a whisper for the last part, yet Carol still heard her. The brunette continuing to speak, "I always had nightmares because of my misdeeds. I used to find pleasure from it but I guess after time. . . I just fell from it. And especially after meeting you? I guess it didn't fit me as a person, that's half of the reason I wanted to eagerly join you on your little quest. As well as me just holding unto that even if I were to be sent on a mission to kill someone, I guess I would always hold the value that if I knew from my own knowledge that someone was innocent and unaware of information then I wouldn't kill them. I guess it still didn't cover up the fact that I still did those things to others-especially without mercy. But, they messed with my mind, I can still remember it."
"Aella, bad things don't make you a bad person for life. Life is all about moving on. Change for the better, do whatever you want that seems right to you. But, hey! Just know that there was some good in you even when they did all of that to you. You didn't deserve that but I'm glad we crossed paths. I don't think I would've been the same without you on this journey. I love all your little remarks, and funny moments we had." Carol smiled profoundly.
"Thank you, Carol. For being an amazing friend." Aella's hand slowly making it's way towards Carol's own hand. "Can I hold. . . your hand?"
Without hesitation, Carol allowed, "Absolutely. And thank you for sticking with me throughout the journey so far." Their hands intertwining together, fitting perfectly unto one another. And from there they both rested, enjoying each other's company.
❝ And she was in the
need of being saved.❞
