Bioseus, John, Taneya and Shalen attend the mission debrief by Captain Vannessa and Empathy. They notice other people who are attending the debrief. The people being debriefed all seem young and are a wide variety of species.
Empathy tells them of an old Baraxian, an old god-like race of whom are mostly dead or corrupted, robot who after time became broken and vengeful. It took revenge on it's creators and enemies. It took over the planet Barax12 and built other robots took manage the old planet. It is said one DRAT0tr0n24B's assault crafts attacked the peaceful planet of Itrothorian, which is under Infinity Court protection. He says that the team he has assembled will need to take him down.
Captain Vannessa then tells the group it's description. It wears a tattered cloak and it's original components are damaged and blackened from age. Even though it's shell is made of sowrrium, a metal slightly stronger than steel (a bit like titanium) it's razor-sharp cuff blades are made of Barax, a near indestructible metal made by the Baraxians. It is powered by a Barax crystal which the Infinity Court request to be retrieved undamaged. Even though it wears the Baraxian Peace Symbol it has no has no clear alignment except it attacked helpless civilians under protection.
They are given Rookie Infinity Court Armour with a pistol and a dagger. A few more older looking members are given rifles. Bioseus modifies his suit with his Destro-Particle batteries. He takes his sword hilt and Destro Injectors as well. Shalen takes his wand, spell book and cloak. John and Taneya take what equipment they are given.
The group of rookies are sent in a trading shuttle with cloaking devices to make them look like trade robots in order to sneak into Barax12. The security droids let the shuttle land and the rookies are escorted to the trade hub. It is a gigantic room containing huge sphere with access points for droids to plug themselves and communicate trading. One of the members of the group who is a cyborg plugs herself in and trades some Infinity Court Credits for a map of Barax12. The group manage to sneak off without alerting the guards. They end up wandering through and old storage warehouse on the way to where DRAT0tr0n24B is located. But one of the older rookies, Stuart who is an alien with a grey slobbery face with a droopy jaw and high up eyes, has his bowler hat shot off by what appears to be a photon laser.
The group draws weapons but soon realize they have been surrounded. The attackers are robots that look jumbled together wearing what look like rusty gas masks as faces. They each carry photon laser rifles. Combat begins!
John, Taneya and another rookie quickly take cover between a large crate. Shalen draws his wand and manages to cast a ward spell which deflects the photon blasts. As others take cover Bioseus, Shalen and Stuart stand boldly to face the enemies! Bioseus' gloved hand begins flicker with neon red flame-like/ electricity-like energy. Shalen's wand tip glows purple as he prepares a magic missile. While, Stuart changes his rifle to automatic.
"That was my favorite hat! You'll pay for that!" Stuart exclaims angrily.
Stuart opens fire but is quickly shot down by the robots. Shalen fires his magic missile at one of the robots who then clatters to the floor in a mess. Bioseus begins firing what look like flickering energy bolts at the robots which destroys most of them. Shalen takes cover after his shot when he realizes his ward won't last long. Despite Bioseus' success the robots take him down leaving him clutching his side in agony. Taneya and other rookies make shots at the robots it takes a few down but is not as effective as Shalen's, Bioseus' or Stuart's methods.
John hears his teachers voices in his head. They all say "Use your powers!". John looks at his hands as they glow blue, but not as flickery and wild as Bioseus' red energy. He stands! He fires beams at the remaining few enemies taking them out.
Taneya and Shalen rush to Bioseus. "Are you okay?" They say simultaneously with worry.
"I'll be fine" Bioseus reassures them as he stands with a grunt of pain. His suit has clearly been penetrated in multiple places with burnt skin marks. But miraculously he is able to stand.
However, Stuart was not so fortunate. His charred body is limp and doesn't move. The group pay them respects many of them severely shaken by the events when they realize how risky their mission really is, and they haven't even faced the robots ominous leader yet!
John looks at his hands in amazement. "I really did it!" He thinks to himself.
Bioseus gives John a well deserved pat on the back. "Thanks for that John" He kindly thanks John.
"You faced them with such bravery" John compliments back.
They both smile as the team carries on through Barax12.
They manage to take a tube-like transport to their destination after a few hours. They finish the journey by foot to a wide engineering facility. There the menace sits on a black leather swivel chair plugged into the surveillance system.
"I have been expecting you, Infinity Guardian!" DRAT0tr0n24B tells them.
They group seem very shocked at this news. DRAT0tr0n24B's bodyguards approach the group. Many of the senior rookies attempt to grapple with the bodyguards armed with photon spears. While other rookies fire their pistols wildly at the threats. The robots impale many who come towards them. Until Shalen summons a magic sword and Taneya attacks with her dagger. They take down a few bodyguards before too falling to them. The remaining group huddle in fear as those who have been taken down cry in pain. Bioseus grunts and ignites his Destro Blade which flickers with the similar energy. He injects himself and hits his chest. He approaches.
"Back away, I will destroy this robot trash myself!" He cries in confidence and fury.
He slices bodyguard after bodyguard in half. He grunts in exhaustion as he finally faces DRAT0tr0n24B.
"You know what, I have been looking forward to killing a villain like you!" Bioseus grunts with confidence "Your end is near DRAT0tr0n24B!"
"Please call me Drat." Drat says as it unplugs itself from the surveillance and stands. It removes it's cloak and it's legendary Barax Blades slide from it's wrists.
They engage with combat when the two blades clash the Barax blackens and the Destro Blade flickers off for a second. Bioseus manages to slice Drat but it retaliates by stabbing Bioseus. Bioseus feels himself losing consciousness but manages to let out a burst of energy sending Drat flying backwards before dropping the Destro Blade and blacking out.
"Noooo!" Cries Infinity Guardian. His hands glow neon blue. He takes steps forward while taking out his anger as his fires blast after blast at Drat.
Drat stands hideously falling apart with it's metal shell malformed. It roars a gruff machine-like roar. Shalen casts a healing spell on himself and uses a levitation spell to pull apart Drat as John takes a final shot exploding Drat's head. The two of them rush to Bioseus and Taneya using med pack and healing magic to help them. While they rest, the rookies extract the Baraxian power core and remove the Barax Blades as a souvenir. They put it all into one of the older rookie's backpacks. The few remaining rookies make their way out the room and the cyborg hacks into a shuttle. The remaining 7 of them return to The Infinity Court Station!
