The Infinity Court medics hurriedly get the fallen heroes into stretchers and administer the best first aid they can. Metallic manages to stand on his own. His dulled soot covered metal body now has a dent at the stab wound and a fist mark where Alexander punched him. He goes to check on his friends but is told they are in critical condition and that they will do all they can. They quickly move as a group through the star ship. Metallic, Empathy and the soldiers convoy the medics though the corridor, gunfire echoes through the long maze of airtight tunnels. The wails of the bloodthirsty escapees and under prepared hallway guards thunder as a distorted opera of horrors. Empathy leads them to his own vessel. The hanger contains a small entourage of Infinity Court vessels. Guards lay motionless on the cold ground. The soldiers stand over on high alert and welcome back Empathy. They all leave the hanger into the cold vacuum of space, leaving behind the destructive chaos on the great monstrosity of a ship.

Eventually all of them recover but not unscathed, the words of the empress both haunt and inspire the perplexed mind of the Infinity Guardian. Upon awakening Bioseus receives a visitor, and not from the plane of the living. A man stands before him, his very being a cosmic perplexion to Bioseus' bright mind.

The figure smiles at him as Bioseus squints pain still jolting through him on his hospital bed.

"Greeting Bioseus, I have been much looking forward to meeting you." The figure tells him.

Bioseus looks him up and down and notices specifically a familiar blade on his hilt.

"Well if it isn't the phantom of Magnus Clentinus, come to haunt me have you? Looks like you couldn't handle the blade of that four armed savage." He chuckles at the figure he suspects to be the former Infinity Guardian. "So how you doing that?" He gestures feebly at the glowing presence.

"Ah I knew I shouldn't underestimate you. I'm sure you must see by now the hypocrisy of the foolishly entitled Infinity Court. As for Alexander, he works in mysterious ways, I've understood him even after he killed me!" Magnus chuckles back to Bioseus.

"The Paladinus Caeli isn't really much better. I was barely conscious when The Empress made her speech, but didn't seem that important to me, got her killed anyway!" Bioseus scoffs back.

"You can't stand by Bioseus, we both know that's not how you roll." Magnus reminds Bioseus, seemingly pushing further.

"So, again, how are you doing this thing." Bioseus asks while wiping his eyes with his hand.

"My particles have reformed in some way not unlike my living form after centuries of floating meaninglessly. Presumably in the wake of the next Infinity Guardian." Magnus tells Bioseus his theory.

"Interesting, so it's to do with John. Then why are you talking to me." Bioseus asks him.

"He's more of a passive philosopher type. He'll think for years but do nothing. I need an action taker, a gutsy firebrand like yourself." Magnus tells him.

"So you want me to start some fires, I can do that. To be honest I've never really trusted that withered old prune. The court has caused enough catastrophe, as we both know, time to do something." Bioseus announces solidly. "First I'm heading back to Earth, I've got some unfinished business!"

As Bioseus stands he groans and has to crouch to regain his aptitude. He quickly regains his bearings and sneaks swiftly to his workshop. He puts on a set of armour and redresses his wounds. He sneaks further through the space station to the private hanger he was recently shown. He walks up John's ship but hears footsteps behind him. He turns to see Metallic behind him.

"Going somewhere?" Metallic asks Bioseus, seeing that he's in the ship hanger and is wearing a suit of armour.

"You're either coming with me or I'm leaving you, you can't stop me." Bioseus announces.

Metallic shrugs and follows Bioseus aboard. Remembering the controls from last time he flew it he takes off out of the hanger and sets autopilot coordinates for Earth.

The two of them set off on their journey.

"Should we really let them go?" Vannessa asks Empathy and Targe as they watch the ship leave the station, Vannessa with a few new nano-fibre stitches.

"I don't see why not? What are they going to do?" Targe asks in an arrogant tone.

"You know full well what they'll discover!" Vannessa replies to Targe with frustration.

"Surely only the Infinity Guardian really matters!" Targe counters back.

"Not necessarily." Empathy sighs as they watch the ship get further and further away until it disappears from view.
