Their super fast ship swiftly approaches the gargantuan flagship with a large degree of elegance from Vannessa and Bioseus. The ship clamps on to the hull of the flagship.
"We need to emit a penetrating EMP so that the security system doesn't register a breach!" Vannessa tells Bioseus.
Bioseus nods and deploys the EMP. In addition, a small semicircular dome protrudes from the ship and encases the ship with the hull of the flagship. Bioseus heads back into the room with the others.
"We've clamped on and we're about to breach the ship." He announces to the passengers.
"How are we going breach it without alarms and a pressure change?" John asks Bioseus.
"We are using a pressure dome and an EMP." Bioseus informs John.
Vannessa leaves the cockpit after stabilizing the atmospheric conditions in the dome. She remotely opens a cabinet full of a selection of weaponry. She equips herself and gestures for the others to do the same.
Bioseus opens the shuttle door and floats outside to the hull of the huge starship. He gestures for John to follow him. John nods and floats towards Bioseus, closely followed by Vannessa, Metallic and the soldiers. With confirmation from Vannessa John plunges his Infinoguard into the hull, creating a doorway for them to get through. Due to the dome the pressure doesn't change and the EMP ensures the local security cameras are offline and the hull doesn't detect a breach.
They quickly pile in and drop to the floor due to the artificial gravity inside the ship. Vannessa produces a bottle of airtight sealant to repair the hole that John created. The pressure dome then detaches and the ship flies away.
"How are we going to escape then?" Metallic asks as the ship strands them."We'll have to find a different way. If we left it there it would be a sitting duck!" Vannessa replies.
"Fair point." Bioseus comments.
"We should get moving or we'll be sitting ducks too!" Infinity Guardian tells the others.
They all draw their various weapons and Vannessa reveals a handheld holographic map of the ship.
"Our mission is to get to the observation suit to convince Empress Nuriel to call off the attack on our station." Vannessa tells them.
Bioseus activates his x-ray goggles and determines the fastest route. "Stick to me. Don't want any of you compromising the mission." He announces to the group, particularly the newer additions (Metallic and the other soldiers).
They run through the corridors at a fast but sustainable pace, while being careful enough to avoid patrolling enemy soldiers. They eventually reach the elevator.
The Paladinus Caeli fleet approach the space station. The Infinity Court orders the smaller ships in its fleet and allies fleet to distract the enemy fleet to slow the assault as they will be significantly harder to shoot down due to size and maneuverability. So the battle began.
"Admiral, our ships have began distracting the enemy fleet!" A young fresh-faced envoy informs the admiral.
"That's good! What of the Infinity Guardian and his team?" Admiral Targe asks.
"They have breached the hull of The Spatium Avem." The envoy replies.
Targe nods proceeding to dismiss the messenger then switches on a holographic communicator.
"I'm impressed Empathy, your new guardian seems to be up to scratch so far. But are you certain he's ready?" Admiral Targe says to Empathy remotely.
"I have hope in him. Plus one of our best, Captain Vannessa, is with him." Empathy calmly reassures Targe.
"Then I hope he doesn't let us down. But I will trust your wisdom Baraxian" Targe replies, relatively satisfied.
Admiral Targe walks to the bridge and looks across the void to the battle. "I hope you can do this Infinity Guardian" Targe says to himself as he continues to watch.
The elevator to the observation suit is guarded by a handful of guards. They are wearing a shiny assortment of metal plates with a fully encased metal helmet fitted with glass eye-holes and some sort of breathing mask. The wield long rifles fitted with stun bayonets attached. They have plain feathered wings and claw-like hands and feet with long nails much like a bird.
"What's the plan?" One of the soldiers asks their superiors.
They sit and think for a few minutes. "I'll break out the prisoners! This ship holds tonnes of them, the guards will be too preoccupied to guards the lift. When they leave you guys go up." Bioseus tells them.
"Is that definitely a good idea? Some of those prisoners are very dangerous!" Vannessa warns.
"Do you have a better idea?" Bioseus asks which leads to Vannessa shrugging.
Bioseus and John kiss in an embrace before he leaves. "Don't get hurt" John whispers in Bioseus' ear. "You too" Bioseus whispers back.
Bioseus and one of the soldiers leave in search of a terminal for the ship's computer to hack. They search through corridors quietly before finding an empty server room. Bioseus looks at the interface and pulls out some kind of electronic storage device. "Tanya gave me this virus, she got it from some pirates that she did some jobs for. Thought I'd like it, I definitely do now." Bioseus tells the soldier.
"Get hacking then!" The solider tells.
Bioseus nods and plugs it in. The interface then unlocks which makes Bioseus rub his hands together as the screen glows his face up. After fiddling for a few minutes he finds the security controls for all the prison levels. He unlocks the doors and disables security on those levels, as well as cameras on their level and the observation room.
"This should work for about 10 minutes before they can get back in and fix it." Bioseus announces.
"Virus is uploaded, get in the elevator!" The soldier says over the comms.
The guards rush away as they get messages over their comms and the lights in the corridor begin to pulse red with a loud siren. The group run up to the elevator and Vannessa clicks the button for going up. The quickly enter with John in last, making sure nobody saw them.
The space battle continues with the Infinity Court and it's allies armadas taking heavy casualties.
"They better hurry up! We can't sustain these casualties for long!" Admiral Targe curses under his breath as he watches his fleet being destroyed.
