14: ✨Height ✨

When you're scared of heights

Ren:

The view you’re looking at sends chills all over your body. Everything about the sight is scary – the ant-like people walking in the streets, the perspective of flying without any guard and looking below, clearly imagining how you’d look like if you fall flat headfirst into the ground—

“Why are you scaring yourself like that, honey? …Come here.” Ren breaks your thoughts and he pulls you away from the railing and closer to him. He holds your face gently, landing a quick kiss on your forehead before giving you a warm smile. “Instead of looking at that, just focus you eyes on me, okay?”he takes off his glasses.

Ryuji

You’re on a plane to Hawaii, beacause of the school trip, but as you are now sitting in your seat listening to the pilot tell everyone the plane is ready for take-off, your fear of height kicks in and you shake tremendously.

Ryuji’s hand finds its way to yours and he squeezes it tight. “I’m here, don’t worry.”

“It’s just…” You breathe heavily and look away from the window. Ryuji wraps and arm around you and pushes your head on his shoulder. “…I’m scared…”

“Shh,” He caresses your hair, quickly making you feel at ease. “Always remember that you’re safe as long as you’re with me so don’t worry, okay? I won’t let anything happen to you.”

Yusuke

“Open your eyes, Baby.” He whispers. You’ve taken an out of town trip together   that was a cliff over viewing the whole countryside.

“I can’t – I’m afraid of heights.”

“I know, but see, if you close your eyes you can’t see the view. Instead of thinking of your fear of heights, let yourself be absorbed in its beauty.”

You take the time, breathing slowly as you look around.  You’re not going to fall, you’re not going to fall . You remind yourself and in no time, you are looking calmly. Yusuke wraps his arms around your waist from behind and leans his chin on your shoulder. You take a deep breath. “You’re right,… It  is beautiful…”

You then realize that he’s not looking at the scenery – he’s looking at  you.  You turn to him and he gives you a warm smile. “Yeah,  you are.”

Akechi

You’re standing at the rooftop with your eyes closed. The wind is harsh and strong, your hair is whipping your face uncontrollably and you’re nearing tears. You are more than 10 feet above the ground and the very thought of falling from such height makes you shake in fear.

“Like it?” Akechi walks behind you and holds your hand. Noticing how you’re shaking badly, he looks at you with worry. “Could it be that you’re…”

He doesn’t know of you fear of heights  yet . You nod and look away but Akechi gives you a comforting smile and holds you tightly. “Just relax, I'm is here to protect you.”
