18: ✨GoodNight Kiss✨

When he kisses you goodnight

Ren

You look around and pull the blankets around you tighter. This is what you get when you watch scary movies. Now you have something playing non-stop in your head and you might just pull an all-nighter from all the scary thoughts in your head.

You get your phone from your bedside drawer and sigh. You didn’t want to trouble him anymore since he had just finished his work at Leblanc, but you can’t sleep either. You dial Ren's number and started to ring.

“Hello?”

“Did I wake you up?” The thing about Ren was you can never guess if he just woke up or not because his voice would  always  sound the same. He tells you no, and asks why. “I… watched (title horror movie) and now I can’t sleep.”

He laughs. “Didn’t I tell you to stop watching scary movies all by yourself?”

“But it was on tv, I couldn’t resist watching…”

“Okay then, what do you want me to do?”

“Sing for me, Ren,” You click your phone to speaker mode and you place it back on top of your bedside drawer.

He starts singing and half-way through the song; you feel your eyes slowly drooping. He finishes the song and listens if you’re already asleep. “(Y/n)?” You don’t answer. “Are you asleep? Or did the something climb from under your bed and took you—”

" Ren!”

He laughs and you roll your eyes at your boyfriend’s usual jokes. “It’s because you weren’t answering~ Are you sleepy now or should I sing you another song?”

You smile. “No, no, I think I can go to sleep peacefully now…. Thank you.”

“Well, you should go check your closet first, maybe the—”

“ Ren!”

“Okay, okay, I was kidding… you know I love you, right?” You feel the heat on your cheeks and you bury your face in your pillow. And as the silence begins to emit in the room, you hear Ren making a noise – somewhat the sound of pressing his lips together. “Hear that? That’s my goodnight kiss~ Now sleep tight and dream sweetly for me, okay?”

Ryuji

Ryuji leans on your doorframe, arms crossed with a warm smile on his face. You stare at each other for a long time, letting the silence grow because none of you wanted to say goodbye.

“Today was fun,” You break the silence yourself. Without turning around from Ryuji, you open the door behind you. “Let’s do it again, okay?”

He smiles. You can see he’s trying his best to hide his tiredness. “We can do it tomorrow, if you want.”

You frown. “But your work…”

“I can manage.” He sighs and walks towards you. He closes the door behind you and pins you on it with his arms. “Besides, whenever you’re around, I feels so much better.”

You touch his cheek. “Then I’ll always stay beside you.”

For a moment, you two stare at each other again. You hate this, you think, having to part from each other when you don’t want to. “…I don’t want to say it.” Ryuji says. He presses his forehead on yours and you kiss the tip of his nose.

“Me too… but you have to go. Get some sleep.”

He sighs and moves away.  Okay,  he lets his eyes do the talking. You open the door behind you again and turn to go in when you feel Ryuji grab your hand and pull you close into a hug. “ Ryuji...,”

He pulls away and gives you another smile. “Okay, okay, I’ll go now – after this,” And then he lifts your chin and plants a soft kiss on your lips. He lets his lips linger on yours for a few seconds before pulling away completely and locking his eyes with yours. “Promise to meet me in your dreams, okay?”

Yusuke

You’ve always been a light sleeper – a sweet dreamer. You lay on your bed, hands supporting your hands. At the back of your mind, you know it’s just 9 PM. Yusuke texted how he’ll be coming home late so you went to bed early. Now your eyes are dropping and you are slowly drifting into dreamland.

But you are still wide awake, letting the thoughts stop you from completely falling asleep. You stay like this for a few minutes until you hear noise outside the room.

You smile.

He’s here.

And then you close your eyes fully – although you may have not realized it yourself, you’ve been waiting for him all this time. The door opens, creaking slowly and soft footsteps against the wooden floor are heard. “(Y/n)?” He whispers your name. Maybe either from the cold wind or the sound of his voice, you feel chills spread all over your body. You stay still and keep your eyes closed.

“(Y/n)?” He calls you again but you don’t answer. He walks over to you and crouches down. You know he’s just inches away because you could feel his hot breath on your face. You imagine his face in your head. Yusuke then touches your cheek. His hand is cold (— and warm at the same time)  and he leans forward and gently grazes his lips on yours. Softly, he pulls away but he stays in his position.  Goodnight,  he whispers so quietly it’s almost as if it was the wind who said it. He heaves a sigh and you could almost see him smiling. “…how could someone be this beautiful?”

Akechi

You’re doing your revisions for your exam and Akechi is in the living room, watching in the living room as you hear the television droning on and on. Your eyes are getting droopy and you feel like taking a quick nap, but you try your best to continue your revision.

But another half hour spent and the words are slowly turning into a blur. Your mind is wandering off and you have slipped into a light sleep, before long, you rest your head on the desk and surrender to your slumber.

It was almost midnight when Akechi comes in and sees you in an uncomfortable position by the desk, stopping to think if whether he should cover you with a blanket or carry you to bed. After much though, he gives in to the latter and he tries his best to carry you without waking you up. But you did, although you kept quiet about it and waited until he sets you down on the bed.

You feel his gaze on you as he caresses your hair. He’s sitting beside you and you cuddle to his warmth. Suddenly, he moves and alters his place. You thought he was going to leave so you pull his shirt and he looks at you in surprise.

“Stay.”

You have your eyes closed but he knows you’ve been awake all this time. “But I’m not going anywhere,” He says and you could almost hear him smiling. He continues to caress your hair and suddenly, you feel him bend over you and kiss you on your forehead.  Don’t leave,  you think again and as if in sync with your thoughts, he speaks again completely filling you with warmth.

“Don’t worry, I’ll still be right here when you wake up…”
