There is not really a way to tell, but it feels like a day has passed and I have been at Toriel's.

I love how kind she is and she cares for me like I'm her child, but I came down here with a goal.

I will have to tell her I need to leave. That I am going to set the monsters free.

After I made up my mind about telling Toriel, I stood up and walked out my room.

But I couldn't find her. She wasn't in the living room, kitchen, or her bedroom. The only place I hadn't looked was down the stairs.

Even though Toriel told me not to go down here, I went down. I needed to talk to her.

I walked down and began to call for her.

I came across a big set of purple doors. One of them was opened, so I walked through.

It led to a long hallway. In the middle was a patch of grass but nothing more. There was a doorway at the end and I heard Toriel's voice but I couldn't hear what she was saying.

As I made my way to the sound I heard her say,

"Please, one last time. This one is different I promise you." She seemed to have sadness in her voice. I stopped walking.

A voice came from the other side but it was extremely muffled, I couldn't hear a thing they said.

I decided to speak up,

"Toriel..." I began.

She stood up, " I know Child. You have come to tell me you want to leave. Correct?" She spoke, she sounds like this has happened before.

"Well yes, but-" I began but Toriel interrupted.

"You don't have to explain yourself Child, I know it gets boring here. I can't entertain you all the time."

"N-not it's not that I-" she interrupted again.

"I know, it's okay and old lady like me can't protect even a single child." She began to tear up.

"TORIEL!!" I shouted, the looked at me shocked but I continued.
"You're an amazing person, and if I had nowhere to go I would have been grateful to stay with you. I'm grateful now because you took me in and gave me a place to rest. But I fell down here with a goal."

She seemed shocked, and tried to speak but before that I added something.

"I will set the monsters free and bring peace for them on the surface!" I wasn't shouting but my voice was strong, "So please believe me when I say 'I will be okay and you will see me again.'"

She saw the determination in my eyes and her face shown that she trusted me.

She walked over to me and hugged me. Her fur was so soft. I hugged back. When it ended she spoke.

"Then you have my blessing Child. I don't have to fight you to know that you are strong enough to survive."

I gave her a smile and remembered.

"Oh! My bag is in my room I shou-"

"No need Child, I can get it for you. Wait here I won't take long." Toriel said and then she walked down the hall.

I waited by the door and sat down leaning against it. I heard shuffling from the other side but couldn't make out what it was.

I imagined what could be on the other side as I waited for Toriel to get back.

A few minutes passed and I heard Toriel's footsteps getting closer.

She entered the room with my bag and a big plastic container. It looked like it had pie inside.

She handed me my bag them the container.

"Here My Child, it for your journey. If you ever find yourself in a desperate state, eat some pie. It will replenish your body and energy." She said as she handed it to me.

I took it and put it in my backpack.
Toriel pushed one of the doors open and hugged me one last time for a while.

"Stay safe My Child" she gave the top of my head a peck.

"Thanks.....Mom" I said and ended the hug, turned around and took a step to thw other side. I glance back and Toriel had tears in her eyes but they didn't seem scared or sad.

The door shut and I placed my hand on the frost covered door as chills crawled across my skin. I turned back to the long pathway of snow and shivered slightly.

After a moment I began walking.
