We went into town the next day; Lillian, Michel, Tina, and I to look for an anniversary gift for her parents. My mum was still caught up in work, so I had to take Tina with me wherever I went. It wasn't bad, I never really complained about it because Tina wasn't that bad to take out. She usually would hold my hand the whole time, talked a little every now and then, obeyed and never made a fuss, and usually asked me to buy her a snack at some point. She'd even join into conversations sometimes, despite her not knowing what we're even talking about.

Luckily, Tina was a big fan of Michel. When she woke up this morning and saw him, she flipped and wanted to make him breakfast herself. She didn't let me help her dress or let me do her hair. When she asked Michel to pick out her outfit and do her hair, he smiled and happily agreed as he followed her to her room. He ended up dressing her into a pair of jeans short shorts, tucked in white t-shirt and white sneakers. He even managed to do those two space buns things for her, which was better than the ones I've attempted once to make. Apparently, while I was making breakfast and he was helping her get ready, she took his phone and showed him a tutorial of how to create them.

Tina refused to hold my hand today, she just held on Michel like he was about to disappear any minute. She looked up to him like an older brother, something that she always wished for and consistently threw at me when ever we fought.

"Tina sure likes my brother" Lillian said as we followed the two around.

"Yeah" I told her "She does the same thing with Dana. She just treats them like big brothers"

A moment of silence goes by before Lillian broke it "Does it bother you? I mean that I made everything awkward and made you two fight?"

"You didn't make us fight, Lil" I told her "What happened wasn't really because of you. He did this himself"

"It wouldn't have if I didn't come around" she argued.

"And I'm glad you did" I told her "I'm glad that you came around because for the first time in my life, I got someone to talk about things with. I never had a female friend that I could talk to about shit with and have sleep overs and all that shit"

She smiled "I'm not a female friend, Jade, it's about time you start calling me your best friend"

I gave her a smile back "I'd actually prefer that"

She linked our arms with a smile "Can I give an advice as a best friend?" she asked.

I gave her a confused nod.

"You need to find your style" she said "Your current choice of clothing doesn't really reflect the Jade I know. You're not wearing your style"

I gave her an amused grin "And what is my style, Ms. I've wanted to experiment with fashion on you since the day I met you?"

Her smiler grew bigger "Well that's for me to show you and you to go along with" she said "Would you let me give you your birthday gift early in the form of a wardrobe upgrade?"

I shook my head "That would be experience" I said "If I like it, I'll pay for it myself. I've been thinking of stepping out of my comfort zone for a while now; just don't know where and how to start"

She chuckled "Silly, you don't have to pay for any of it" she said "My mum works as a CMO in this clothing retail store from Asia. Every time they bring a new clothing item, they would first send a sample for my mum for her opinion on them. She usually gets them in my size so I can take them, and she can see if it's something that would work out in the market through using me as a test subject" she said "You can come over later and we can look through the samples to see which one that you want"
