I say I'm fine,
but that doesn't mean
I'm not having a hard time.
It doesn't mean,
I don't need to hear,
another heartbeat fall in sync,
with mine when I fall asleep at night.
It doesn't mean,
I don't want to come home,
To the warm smile of the one I love.
I still want someone,
To sing my heart out with,
On long road trips.
I still want someone,
To hold me when I'm shivering,
From the cold.
I still want someone dear to me,
To whisper sweet nothings in my ear,
When I can barely stand to be here.
Just because I say,
I'm fine doesn't mean,
I don't want someone to call all mine.
