I never measure up,
Because I'll never be enough.
I always get left behind,
And sometimes replaced.
I was told life was a competition,
But I wasn't told everything,
Ends up a race to be the best.
I pass test after test,
But I'm always,
One point less from someone else.
I hate being second best,
Or considered trash.
I'm hurting because I'm not perfect,
But that's the one thing I can't be.
I write and write,
But nothing changes how I feel.
My fate was sealed years ago,
And I didn't have a say.
I just want someone to love me,
But you don't get everything you want.
I guess that's,
Why I can never have you.
