The Hall

My heart is killing me,
And I can barely breathe.
I stand in the crowd,
Waiting to be found,
As the rain pours down.
I can't seem to do anything,
But stare at everybody,
As they act like I'm not even here.
Words fly through the air,
As conversations pour,
In from all around.
Hellos and goodbyes do nothing,
But make me want to die.

I stand and stare,
But nobody dares,
To act like I'm even there.
I swallow back the tears,
As I slowly disappear.

There is nothing left to do,
As the hallway almost completely clears,
So I just stand against the wall,
And wonder why I feel so alone.

I stand nostalgic,
About all the people,
I love near and dear,
But wait there is no one,
Here when I'm in need.

I sink to the ground as the hallway completely clears,
And my tears reappear,
Silently steaming while I'm screaming in pain.
Life continues on while I die in the hall.
