I couldn't help but stare. It was so odd. It seemed impossible.
The whole room gathered around them, the battle had just ended and it revealed those we had lost, my dad and Michelle. I was as happy as possible but still astonished as they told the story of how they had chained a couple of zombies and walked under their limbless (and jawless) protection. I had seen this once before on my favorite show The Walking Dead, but never thought it would work, I guess I was wrong.
After a lot of hugs and a little story telling, we all went to sleep. Just before I fell asleep, I had an idea... Why not make every room an apartment? Set up a sign to tell wandering families where to go. Yes, call it Grayling Salvation.
As these thoughts floated around in my mind I hadn't realized I had fallen asleep already and was dreaming of theses plans. It looked great in my mind, now the only trick was making it happen. I planned it out all night, where to get the boards and the paint, and the rollers.
I figured Dad would like to help with this project, considering he always liked to build stuff and help. Plus I wanted to know the whole story.
The next day, I called another meeting to discuss the sign idea. "Ok everyone, I have an idea to save more people." I started, "There are two other schools that could be populated, and plenty of people who could use one. I think we should put up a sign, high up on the water tower or at the intersection M-72 West and the I-75 Business loop. We'll talk with everyone about it, but I wanted a few comments from my most trusted advisors." A few people asked random questions, others just went back to talking and everyone left.
