"Feels good to bend my finger." Sabina moved her fingers around, closing her fist and hitting Oscar in the arm.

He winced, "ow, what the hell?" He rubbed his arm up and down, "the fuck was that for?"

She chuckled evilly, running away as he tried to pull her hair. "Leave me alone puto!" She giggled uncontrollably when he threw her over his shoulder. "Ow!" She yelled, squirming around.

Oscar set her down with a worried look on his face, "what happened? Are you okay?"

She looked up at him with a straight face as he inspected her, then she busted out laughing. "Ha! I got you!" She ran away, shutting the door to his bedroom as he banged on it.

"That wasn't funny!" He jiggled the door knob, "next time you're actually hurt I'm not gonna believe you!"

Sabina jumped up and down, shaking her hands excitedly. She could finally move again, run without her lungs getting tired or even roll around the floor if she wanted to, her ribs were no longer bruised. She had so much energy to spare and was ready to get it out. She calmed down for a second, going quiet.

Oscar worried we he didn't hear her excessive giggling anymore, knocking on the door again. "Sabina?"

"Oscar." She said.

He smacked his hand on the door a few times, "are you okay?" He shook the door knob, "open the door."

She covered her mouth so she wouldn't laugh, "no."

"Why?" He continued shaking the knob aggressively, his other hand smacking the door. "Sabina!"

"Cause." She breathed out, choking on a laugh. "You're gonna hit me."

"No I'm not." He kicked the door, "open it Sabina." She unlocked it, pulling it open. "Don't scare me like that." He pulled her into his arms, hugging her tight as he set his jaw on top of her head.

She furrowed her eyebrows, "I was in here for two seconds."

Oscar pulled away, looking at her face. "Are you okay?"

"Homie, I'm fine." She chuckled, "are you okay?"

He nodded, "I'm okay."

Her confused laugh increased as she stepped away from him. "You're weird, Diaz." She ran a hand through her faded pink hair, clearing her throat. "I'm gonna be out tonight."

He pulled his head back, confused. "You're gonna what?"

She sat on the couch, "Cesar invited me to hang with the crew, I really like them."

"Oh so you don't want to hang out with me anymore?" He crossed his arms. "That's how it is?"

"No." Sabina squinted her eyes at him curiously. "Why don't you come hang out with us?"

"Cause I'm a grown ass man." He sat next to her, "and that lil Jamal character creeps me out."

"Hey!" She laughed, "he's my friend."

"Oh he's your friend?" Oscar raised his eyebrow, "so what am I?" Sabina raised her eyebrows, the question stressing her out. "Best friend?" He nudged her, and she smiled.

She grabbed his hand, lacing their fingers together, "bestest friend."

Oscar raised her hand to his lips, kissing her healing knuckles. "Ya sabes donde te llevo, chiquita."

She blushed, biting the inside of her lip. Then she changed the subject, smacking his arm repeatedly and eagerly. "So come hang out with us!"

"You're crazy." He shook his head, "a twenty-four year old man hanging out with a bunch of fifteen/sixteen year olds?"

Sabina furrowed her eyebrows, "but I'll be there?"

Then it came, another thing he was dying to know about her, "and how old are you?"

She smirked, hugging his arm. "Old enough." He rolled his eyes when he didn't get the answer he wanted. Sabina noticed his change of face, "is it that important to you?"

"Why can't you just tell me?"

"Cause it isn't important?" She chuckled, shaking her head. He stayed quiet, she couldn't believe it actually bothered him not to know her age. "I'm nineteen." She stood up, "don't wait up. I'll walk home with Cesar."

He didn't say anything as she left, shutting the door behind her. He sat on the couch for a few minutes, thinking. Then he stood up, walking toward the door. "I guess I'm gonna have to go after her."

By the time he had made that decision she was no where in sight. So he got in his car and drove to where they most likely were, Ruby's house.

When he got out of his car, he looked down at the keys in his hand, thinking twice about knocking on the door.

"Attention, this is l.A.P.D, this block is on lockdown. For your safety please remain inside at all times."

The sirens blaring caused Oscar to run, knocking on the door frantically.  "Yo let me in!"

The door opened and Jamal stood frozen with fear. Oscar stepped in, shutting the door quickly behind him. Then he looked around the living room, everybody was staring at him.
