24 | what's wrong with you

A few days have passed. Jisung was still in love with Chenle but Chenle noticed something different. The way Jisung acted towards him was strong but it was slowly dying down.

Chenle was scared. He didn't know what was wrong with Jisung neither did he want to ask him. He was guessing it was because when they were at the cafe, Koeun was brought into the conversation.

"Jaemin!" Chenle was surprised to see Jaemin outside of his house when he was on his way too school.

"Hi Chenle!" Jaemin smiled. Chenle smiled back at him. He closed the door behind him.

"What are you doing here?" Chenle asked.

"I can't walk to school with you like we normally did?" Jaemin asked.

"I guess you're right," Chenle awkwardly laughed. Jaemin gave him a smile. They walked to school together.

"How come you stopped walking with me to school recently? Are you walking to school with Jeno and Renjun now?" Chenle asked. He looks at Jaemin. He just looked down at the ground with a smile on his face. He looked up at Chenle and nodded his head.

"They were getting jealous that I was hanging out with you instead of them," Jaemin says. Chenle just chuckled.

"I figured. I'm kinda surprised you three became a couple. I think it's cute though," Chenle says. Jaemin nods his head. He agrees, at first it was a joke between them but they ended up falling for each other.

"How come Jisung doesn't walk to school with you?" Jaemin asks.

"He lives far from me remember. Which means he would need to wake up earlier just to come here. I don't want him to come all the way over here for me," Chenle says.

Chenle and Jaemin arrive at school. They both enter and spot Jeno and Renjun talking. They turn their heads and see Chenle and Jaemin walking in.

"Jaemin. We were waiting for you but you didn't show up. We didn't know you were walking with Chenle," Renjun said. Chenle chuckled.

"Renjun-ge. Don't be jealous. He walked with me because he figured out I walk to school alone now," Chenle says. Jeno furrowed an eyebrow.

"Jisung doesn't walk with you?" Jeno asked. Chenle shook his head. He explained to Jeno the reason why and Jeno made an 'oh' face.

"Let's go to class then. You too Jeno," Jaemin says. Jeno nods his head. They all head to their classes.

"Chenle? Where's Jisung?" Mark asked Chenle. Chenle was staring at down at his hands not making a single move. Jaemin shook him. Chenle blinked his eyes and then looked up.

"I-I don't know. He hasn't answered my text message," Chenle looks at Mark.

"He hasn't?" Jeno sat down. They all looked at him.

"Where have you been? Where you with Jisung?" Jaemin asks. Jeno shook his head and sat next to Jaemin and Renjun.

"I was talking to a teacher to get my grades up," Jeno said.

"So we don't know where Jisung is," Renjun sighed. Chenle slowly nodded his head and looked down at his hands.

"Chenle. Don't be sad. You have us," Jeno smiled at him. Chenle gave a soft smile back.

"He slowly stopped texting me a lot recently after you guys had mentioned Koeun to him. Does it have to do something with that?" Chenle asked. Everyone noticed how nervous his tone was.

"Chenle. I'm sorry for mentioning her but I don't know if the way Jisung is acting recently is because of her," Jeno said.

"It's ok," Chenle sighed.

Everyone looked at him and didn't say anything. They didn't want to make the younger even more sad by asking him more questions.

Chenle was leaving class. He looked around to see if he can find Jisung anywhere. He wasn't even there to pick up him up. Chenle ignored it and walked out of the school building.

He spotted Jisung walking somewhere. A smile appeared on Chenle's face. He ran towards Jisung and attacked him with a hug. Jisung was caught by surprise and stumbled a bit.

"Jisung! Why havent't you been answering my text messages?" Chenle asked him. Jisung just looked at him and shrugged. Chenle raised an eyebrow at him. "Are you ok?"

"I'm fine," Jisung said as he pushed him away. Chenle looked at him walking away. Chenle sighed and didn't say anything.

Jisung was lying. He wasn't ok. It had nothing to do with Chenle nor Koeun. It was simple to say that Jisung was getting depressed. He was ignoring everyone not talking to a single person. His family was having 'money' problems. It was affecting his whole family.

Jisung didn't want to talk to anyone about it.

He still loved Chenle. He loved being accepted by his friend group. The moment just wasn't the best for him.

He walked into his house to see his parents fighting. He ignored them and walked into his room, slamming the door shut.
