40 | hit rock bottom

Jeno, Renjun and Jisung were sitting down on the roof.

"So wanna explain how you're feeling?" Jeno asks. Jisung sighs and looks up at him.

"Confused," Jisung said. Both Renjun and Jeno raised an eyebrow.

"Why's that?" Renjun asked.

"I love Chenle and I want to stay with him forever but a part of me is saying I should break up with him because he deserves better than me," Jisung says hugging his knees.

"You know. Chenle really loves you for you," Jeno says.

"I don't know why thought," Jisung sighs.

"Jisung. Have you felt like this about any other girl you have been with or any other boy you've been with," Jeno asks. Jisung shook his head.

"Only with Chenle and you know who," Jisung says. Jeno nods his head. Renjun raises an eyebrow.

"Whose you know who?" Renjun asks. Jisung looks at him.

"Some girl," Jisung simply replies. Renjun turns his head and looks at Jeno.

"I'll tell you later," Jeno says. Renjun nods his head.

Jisung took out a pack of cigarettes and handed one to Jeno. Jeno looked at the cigarette and then looked back up at Jisung.

"You know I stopped right," Jeno says.

"I know but just this once and I'm sorry Renjun if you feel uncomfortable," Jisung says. Renjun shook his head.

"It's fine," Renjun sighs. He leans his head on Jeno's shoulder. Jeno took the cigarette and lit it up.

"It's been so long," Jeno says talking about the cigarette.

Chenle woke up and looked up at the ceiling. Jaemin, Donghyuck and Mark had left last night and didn't stay over his house.

He lifted his body up and got ready for school. He looked at the time and realized the date.

"A few more days and it was supposed to be our anniversary," Chenle mumbled. He ignored it and got ready for school.

He opened the door and saw Renjun, Jeno and Jaemin all standing there.

"What are you guys doing here?" Chenle asked.

"Making sure you didn't try anything," Jaemin said. Chenle knew what he meant.

"I'm clean. I didn't do anything," Chenle said.

"Good. We're also here to walk to school with you," Jeno said. Chenle closed the door behind him.

"I'm just going to 4th wheel you guys," Chenle sighed.

"No you won't," Renjun said. He grabbed Chenle's arm and linked his arm around his.

"Thanks Renjun-ge," Chenle chuckled.

They all walked to school together.

Jeno and Jaemin were holding hands behind Renjun and Chenle. While Renjun was trying to make Chenle smile and be happy.

They finally arrived to school. Chenle was scared he was going to bump into Jisung and it was going to get awkward.

"Alright. I'll see you guys later," Chenle said. He waved at them and headed to class.

He walked in and sat next to Donghyuck like he normally would.

Chenle then gently placed his head on his hands. He was getting worried about all the work he had to work on. Along with Jisung just leaving him.

Donghyuck noticed how Chenle was getting sad.

"We're scared that you're getting depressed about him is all," Donghyuck mumbled.

Chenle was the first to walk out of class. He looked around and spotted Donghyuck and Mark.

"Hey Chenle!" Donghyuck smiled smiled at him.

"Hey guys," Chenle said as he walked up to them.

"Chenle!" Jaemin yelled and attacked Chenle with a back hug. Chenle jumped a bit as he was startled by Jaemin.

"Don't scare me like that," Chenle said. Jaemin only laughed. Chenle just softly chuckled. Jaemin knew it wasn't a real laugh.

"Hey! Why are you sad?" Jaemin said. Chenle was looking down at the floor and then looked up. He faked a smile.

"I'm not sad," Chenle said. Chenle then spotted Jisung all the way at the end of the hall talking to a teacher.

He was closest to Donghyuck so he just hugged him.

"Why are you hugging me?" Donghyuck suddenly asked.

Jaemin looked at the direction that Chenle was looking at. He realized why Chenle was so quick to hug Donghyuck.

"Why is he hugging Donghyuck?" Mark asked.

"He saw Jisung," Jaemin said. Mark made an 'oh' face.

"Why is he talking to a teacher?" Donghyuck asked as he looked over.

"I don't know. Getting his grades up or something," Mark said.

"Chenle. Wanna go to the movies together tomorrow?" Jaemin asked. Chenle lifted his head up and let's go of Donghyuck.

"Sure," Chenle said. Jaemin smiled at him.

Chenle was faking a smile again. He knew Jaemin could tell he was faking his smile. Jaemin couldn't blame him.

Chenle was stress about all his school work and having Jisung break up with him. He felt so depressed. Like he has hit rock bottom.
