A/n: Things will get better from now i.e, there will be more of Ben and Sam part. So calm down and get ready for some rollercoaster ride!!

"Are you sure you want to deal with her all alone?" Payal asked me for the fourth time.

"Oh, C'mon Payal, Alice is not like what you think. She's so kind and friendly. There's nothing to worry about" I ensured her.

"OK then, I'll see you tomorrow. Bye!"

I gave the instructions to the workmen and went upstairs to take a look at the rooms.

Alice said that she's on her way home. We haven't finalized the upholstery designs yet. I was working onto some new designs while I was waiting for Alice.

*Buzz* *Buzz*

I picked the call and it was from Payal.

"Hey!" she shrieked with joy.

Woah woah, what's the matter Payal? Has Stan proposed to you?" I teased her.

"No, but there might be a chance. We're going to Stan's farm house on Sunday!! So, anything could happen" she squealed with delight.

"Ah! so that's the matter, you want me to do the financial work all alone?!" Its on Sundays that Payal  checks the accounts of ED. That could take a whole day and its the most exhausting work.

"Please, please,please..." she was begging me for a positive answer.

"Girl, I have a life too! I can't do that. Sunday's the only day I'd get to relax. I'm so sorry, I CAN'T DO IT!" I raised my voice.

The line went silence.

OMG! did I shout out too loud?

"Um..Payal, are you there?" I asked.

"It's OK.. no problem..I'll just tell him that I'm not coming" she said. There was no life in her voice. My heart was moved.

Why do people go crazy when in love?

"Fine. I'll do it. But, only this time" I warned her.

"Thank you so much, sweetie" and then she started giving me kisses on phone.

I chuckled and said, "Have fun!"

When I finished my call, I heard someone clearing their throat. I turned around and was shocked to see the tall guy, I mean ''Ben",leaning against the wall.

Oh shit! what's he going to do?

"Um..Hey!" I tried to sound casual.

He walked straight to me and folded his hands across his chest. My heart beat was rising. I looked at the ground.

"So, you're an workaholic, designer,MBA,philosopher and what else?" he asked with sarcasm.

" Wha..What?" I stuttered. Why the hell are those eyes so intimidating?

His eyebrows shot up.

"Wait, what? Did you eavesdrop my phone conversation?" I asked him.

"Yes! Issue?" he sounded indifferent.

I scowled.

"You!" I don't know what to say after that. I was offended. He was the most uncultured man I've seen in London. I grabbed my satchel and went downstairs.

"Wait!" he screamed.

But I didn't slow down my pace. I don't want to waste my time arguing with some uncultured oafish.

He ran down the hallway and pulled my hand. I glared at him, but that doesn't seem to bother him.

"At least I was brave enough to admit my fault" he said.

I pulled a confused look on my face.

"Ah! Don't tell me that you didn't  eavesdrop my conversation with Adam" he accused me.

"No...I..I didn't ..Why would I do that?" I know I was lying and I was no good at it. Hope he won't find that out. But my voice didn't help me enough. He loosened his grip on my hand.

"Don't worry. I'm glad you did" He smiled.

OMG! That smile. How impeccable is that!

"Why are you grinning?" he asked.

Wait, what? am I grinning.

Only then I noticed, I was smiling from ear to ear at him.

"No.. I was just.." I was looking for words and clearly embarrassed to hell.

"No need. I prefer the silence and glares with you" He said. I felt like he was reading my mind.

This man is full of sarcasm and I can't resist him in any way possible.

"Do you want to grab some coffee? Maybe after your work?" He was scratching the back of his neck and looked very nervous.

I don't know how to decline. Actually, I was stunned. Because no 'cute' guys has asked me out. So, why should I even think of turning him down?

"Coffee? Um... yeah, OK. After work, cool" I tried to control the excitement in my voice.

"Fine. I'll be just downstairs, so carry on with your work we can go after...maybe 7?" he asked.

"7 sounds good. OK then, I'll get back to my work" I said.

I continued doing my designs and Alice didn't show up until 6:30. When she overlooked my work, she was satisfied and we finalised the upholstery designs. I was done for the day finally! Yay!!

"Goodbye, Sam. I'll see you tomorrow" Alice said at the doorstep.

"Good night, Alice!" I greeted her back.

Where's he? My eyes were scanning all the corners of the hall. No sign of Ben. OK, he must've changed his mind. Who would ask me out? I realised I was unlucky for that matter. I sighed loudly, pulled my hoodie up and walked through the dark.
