Benedict's POV:

She slung the satchel over the shoulders and left in the cold. I felt something different about this girl. And when I say different, I mean different in every possible way. I've been almost all around the world, seen all types of girls, but nobody like Samantha.

She's different.

At this moment, I'm totally confused. I can't sort out into what category she falls. She's not showy, but she's sassy. She's not introvert but sometimes she becomes awfully quiet. At such times, I feel like opening her skull and see what she's thinking about. Because our first encounter was something I'll never forget. Every word that slipped from her mouth was so true, so valuable and so goddamn right! And I can't believe the fact that she said that she has never been in love with anybody. She is just a mystery. A mystery which I'll be encountering a lot, here after. At least that's what my heart says to me. But one thing I'm sure about her is, I like her chubby cheeks. She totally reminds me of a nursery rhyme. Except for those eyes, which are hazel brown. And the hair, midnight black.

I'm still not recovered from the shock that she didn't know me. Well, I don't expect that all the 7bn people in the world must know me. But, at least people in London. I've got so many awards and nominations for Sherlock but, a girl who had lived in this great city for 5&1/2 months, didn't know who I am?

who the hell she's kidding? She must be living under a rock.

But, at the same time, I'm also relieved by the fact that she didn't know next to nothing about me. Because it has become really very hard these days.

After Sherlock, going to a bar and saying "Hey" is not a good idea. People know about me more than what I know about myself. Sometimes I get amused, sometimes it is creepy. So I was glad to meet someone like Samantha.

After a long time, I'm meeting someone in a bid to befriend her. All these sounds so normal and I love the normal civilian life. If Samantha is going to make me feel normal, then I don't want to be an idiot to mess things up.

Samantha's POV:

I came to bed earlier than usual because I was very tired. The college and my job is beating the shit out of me. I changed to my PJs and climbed over my bed.

I snuggled into my duvet covers and thought to myself 'Girls of my age will be probably snuggling with their boyfriends now. But, here I am, cuddling a pillow. How pathetic! 7bn people in this world, and not even one chooses to fall in love with me or have a crush on me. This doesn't seem fair. There must be some fundamental flaw in the working system of the universe.

No wonder, that they are creating the doomsday theories that the world is actually having a serious imbalance. I closed my eyes to get some sleep. Weirdly, to my surprise, I saw those blue-green eyes. I panicked and got up. I was running out of breath.

Why are those eyes disturbing me so much irrespective of the distance?

I gulped a glass of water and went back to bed. I was still surprised that Ben called himself an actor.

"Is he pranking me?" I asked myself.

I pulled my phone out of the bedside drawer and typed Benedict Cumberbatch in Google. I got 32758 results in 0.12 seconds.

Holy shit!

I saw his works, he played Frankenstein by Danny Boyle.

Isn't he an award-winning director?

And he'd played Hawking and got so many accolades. Jeez, he must be a real geek. He has played so many geeky characters. I thought of reading his Wikipedia but felt like it would be creepy. I mean, I met him in person, I guess I'll be meeting him quite often. If I wanted to know about him, I'd directly ask him.

Why should I read this?

I shut the laptop and threw myself over the pillow and dozed off.

Du Café the neon sign flashed brightly in the November dark cold air. I love this café. Not because, I had coffee with my crush. Its because...wait, crush? Did I think Ben as my crush? why do I even think about him now? I've just met him once. That's a fair acquaintance. That's it! Now, get a grip Sam! I told myself.

The taste of the latte still lingered in my mouth. I ordered the same latte and went to the same corner and took a seat. The waiter brought me the latte within minutes.

"Enjoy your coffee" the waiter smiled.

"Thanks!" I smiled in response.

I closed my eyes and got lost in the flavour of the coffee. The aroma Hmmmm...

Suddenly, someone tapped my shoulders. I turned back and noticed a lanky guy.

"Sorry, how can I help you?" I said.

"Um..sorry, I thought you're my friend. I'm so sorry" he said.

"Oh, its OK" I smiled.

He gestured the chair opposite to me and asked, "Can I..?"

"Yeah, sure. I don't mind" I said.

Just then I noticed I was wearing my hoodie up. So that's the reason! But, seriously, do I look like a guy from the back?

"Hey, I'm James, by the way" he gave his hands for a handshake.

"Um..I'm Samantha. Nice to meet you" I shook his hands carefully.

We smiled at each other now and then. But, didn't initiate the conversation. Usually, I like talking to strangers. Unless, they look safe; but, James looked like a moody guy. So I just enjoyed my latte. I tipped the waiter and got up from my seat.

"Bye. Have a great day!" James said.

I politely nodded and said, "You too".

(Two days later)

"I really don't understand, how you're saying Mrs. Ackland a friendly person" payal said.

"Mrs.Ackland? Is that how you call her?" I asked in a surprise tone.

"Oh god, please don't tell me that you call her by her first name" she looked serious all of a sudden.

"Yeah, I call her Alice and she didn't have a problem with that" I said.

"I think that lady likes you"

"Like me? why do you say that?"

"She kept asking about you. Like, how do you know her? how long you two are together? What sort of person is she like? Is she usually this sweet and blah blah blah" Payal said.

I choked my coke.

"Are you kidding?" I managed between the choke.

"Why should I lie to you?" she asked little pissed.

"Wow, that's nice. Look, Payal your friend is a charmer. She grabs the attention of all!" I mused.

"Attention grabber? Even a monkey amidst a crowd of people grabs the attention!" she joked.

I attacked her with a pillow which she luckily caught.

"OK, having said that, you're going to the Acklands house tomorrow" she declared.

"No way!"

"Yes. You are! and I'll be meeting the Elliots' " she said.

"OK. Better now" I said.

Elliots' are our new doctor-couple clients.
