I Wish it Was Hate

12 3 2

If I opened my heart to you,
What would you do?

I don't understand why we lie to each other
There's a wall between us
Of broken hearts
And unsaid words

What would happen if I spoke the truth
If I actually trusted you?

I was supposed to be able to trust you
Go to you with my problems
Instead you are the cause of them

I figured once I told you this
You would change

But you stayed exactly the same
My problems got worse
You being the root and soul of 90 percent of them

I can't face you
Let alone stand up to you

And no matter how bad you treat me
My biggest problem will always be

Loving you

I would just to inform anyone reading this that this poem was not about a boy. It was about my mother.
