Not Again!

Mavis felt horrible about making Johnny pack themselves up and flying into Romania. But Johnny kept implying that is was alright. At least Mavis could see the ruins of what once was her birth place.

She took her belongings and Jiohnny checked out of the motel. Johnny was going to surprise Mavis before they leave. They started walking.

"Wait...this isn't the way to the airport, is it?" Mavis asked.

Johnny only smiled, because he was taking her to 'dinner' at a special food place. It's called Eye of the Storm, and they were known for the "Hurricane Slushie Swirl" and tremendous service. Mavis saw the giant light-up sign and looked at Johnny in excitement.

"We're gonna eat human food? What does it taste like? Does it taste good?"

This may be a challenge. Mavis ate weird food like 'scream cheese' and Johnny felt uncertain about what they're gonna eat. But he knew, (thanks to Drac), that they can't have garlic.

Johnny held the door open for Mavis, and it looked like a rave going on inside. They walked around the crowd, as Mavis watched people dance with their fists pumping to the beat of the music. She smiled. They found a coat rack to put their stuff down by. Johnny held her hand as he lead her to the buffet. She looked confused. They had pizza, but it was missing all the cockroaches. They had burgers but no black widows. Mavis is going to live in this world, so she might as well try them.

Johnny got them a table, and they headed for the food section. Mavis took a bagel with actual cream cheese, 2 pieces of regular cheese pizza, and the infamous Hurricane Slushie Swirl. Johnny just got a steak, medium rare. They sat down and Mavis nervously took a bite of the pizza.

"This is delicious!" Mavis squeaked.

Johnny almost choked on his cherry coke as he laughed at Mavis's adorable discovery. Mavis laughed at him while he had a coughing fit.

She wolfed down the rest of her pizza, and lifted the bagel. She's ready to try regular cream cheese. She looked determined, then took a large bite. She chewed and her eyes widened and gulped.

"This is the most delicious thing I've ever had in my life!" She praised. People started starting at her and turned away in disgust. Johnny was happy she liked human food.

He cut off a piece of his steak, and handed it to Mavis.

"Wanna try?"

"Of course!" She placed it on her plate and took a sip of her slushie.

She loved the slushie! It tasted like Auntie Unice's blueberry horse pie, only without the horse, of course.EXCEPT FOR THE INCREDIBLE MR. ED!!!(sorry, I had to :3)

Mavis's face turned blank, as she doubled over in pain. Tears were running down her cheeks as her throat started swelling. Drac only said his throat swelled when he eats...Garlic! What could Mavis had possibly eaten with garlic on it!? He knew there wasn't any on the pizza and steak, nor the bagel.

A waitress crouched down beside Mavis, her brunette hair short and curly. She reached for the back of Mavis's hair and yanked her head up. She reached for her own hair and pulled the brunette hair off, revealing that it's a wig, to show her real hair. Bright blonde. She smirked as she whispered, "I got you, batty."

Johnny jumped over the table and landed on the girl, to quickly roll over and throw her off of Mavis. Johnny didn't know what to do, Drac never clarified what to do if she did consume it. The waitress got back up.

She launched herself at Johnny, no fear in her eyes. She gave a devilish smile as she pulled shiruken out of her apron pockets.

"Lowly vampires! Hunting on the superior race!" Johnny ducked them as he picked up Mavis and ran to the coat rack. Her grabbed their stuff and ran outside. She stopped at the doorway and yelled at them as they ran off, "Twas I who put garlic into her drink! You can run but you can't hide!"
