The water had begun to stir as many ships floated by just like the many before them that now lay waste in the deep darkest trenches.  The night sky only telling what is yet to come. Lightning had urged on and the wind howled piercing through the depths of an endless day. Tiny water droplets more like a heavy rain storm showered feeling like pins and needles and the sound of beating drums echoed like the marching of sea lions banging against an ice berg.

One by one the ships manage to stay afloat but for how long?

The screams and cries that were almost deafening could be heard from creatures with voices that can only wail during the night while others were busy trying to survive this horrible calamity preferably not to fall into the depths of the mysterious blue.  It was almost as if something was pulling them, luring them out into the sea.

Who knows what lies beneath?  No one dared to look.  However one unlucky man looked onward and at the sight of yellow orbs had frightened him, his shrill voice screaming only for it to be carried off by the heavy sounds of  a beating heart, his beating heart.  Their screeches had echoed, rocking the waters and the boats shook with fright.

What was out there that is causing this catastrophic adversity?  These young men and women, their children, never expected to run into such chaos and being so far away from land, help wouldn't be able to arrive on time.

One boat had swayed roughly as it caught on fire during of the raging skies.  In fact all of them were.

Panic and fear washed throughout and in a hurriedly pace each man prepared for the worse.  However with only a few life boats, these young men were to save their families, their women and their children from this tragic event. An event that was supposed to be filled with a memorable experience full of laughter and excitement had turned out to be a dream gone horribly wrong.

Each one crying for their lives.  Suddenly with a big bang and a loss of balance two maybe three fell into the black abyss screaming in sheer fright and agony. It was like tiny needles were prickling their skin from the icing of the freezing water.  A water that is below zero degrees.

Trying to decipher what was happening, help from their crew wasn't too far behind.

First was the child who screamed helplessly as she seemed to be dragged down further below.  Bubbles escape the child's mouth, and panic sets in.  Her eyes making sense of her surrounding as yellow orbs consumed her.

And like a flash, faster than light itself, a long fish like tail had grasped the child's delicate body pulling her away.

The child screams only became muffled and no sounds came out.  Slowly rising to the surface the child floats just above peaking towards the sailors as the child was pulled to safety onto one of the boats. Just in time for the long fish like tail to submerge deep under without being seen, without being caught.

The other two had been safely rescued but one had remained further below unable to catch that one last breath of fresh air.

The air seemed like their best friends at the moment which was a good thing.  More people had fallen in, human, of which these strange creatures who neither can swim nor breath underwater.  And yet each one was set to stay a float, floating to the nearest life boat, floating to stay alive.

No one could tell what just happened.  Confused and lost, that is what they are, that is what they feel. Thinking that the waters would surely engulf them after all they have heard of legends, different creatures living under the waters.  Some of which are horrendous looking while others spoke of creatures that are not only beautiful but lures helpless men and women out to see only to be devoured by the waters itself.

Yet no one had live to tell the tale and here they are surviving like their life depended on it.

One child though caught sight of a long silvery fish like tail in the distant.  Not believing what he saw, he stayed quiet and thought better of it.  That could be a fish maybe a dolphin.  But what kind of dolphin would move like it was dancing gracefully.

The long fish like tail swam throughout the storm riding its wave wherever it was carried. Not minding those yellow beady orbs that now coveted these dark waters.

Too many to count, to many to fight through. How have these creatures come to be? Surely no one knows.

Far as the eye can see the long fish like tailed creature swam until the distant shouts and scream were very much blending in with the night.

The waters were never this dangerous unless you enter an unknown charter, they were in fact unpredictable. But that too couldn't change.  It was like this is its calling.

Once those men and women, children too were out of sight, the long fish like tailed creature continue to swim further away from all the chaos. All that had matter is they were safe, everyone was safe. The fish like tail couldn't bare that the waters would be covered in blood not like it could be seen.  But the smell would change and more things that lurks around would be tempted to devour what was smelled.

Though it would never come to that conclusion.  The long tailed creature was never fond of that smell.  Rotting flesh and blood.  It actually was revolting to even think about it.

Swimming further away, the waters seemed more calmer than it was hours ago.  The big light in the sky that illuminated the night which was slowly fading as the sky had calmed down.

Soon without even realizing it was replace with more new lights.  The big object that made the sky clear and very hot.

The long tailed creature smiled in awe, time for a new day, time to swim wherever the waters carried it.

But it knew where to go.  It was time.  Seeing the waters at peace, the creature swam in the direction it was very familiar with.  It's birth place to where it once found its solace among many other things.  Seeing the answers that it sought was actually found.  After years of being away, perhaps its dream would find its way home.

With its very own tail it pushed forward though tired it continued without any sleep, and any rest.  This creature was too excited to sleep.  If it keeps going it will be there on time.

After leaving despite its turmoil to leave, it was time.  Answers it sought out.  It was time.  But was this long tailed creature ready.  More importantly was HE ready.  Would this tail creature be remembered or forgotten. Things hasn't gotten easy with time.  Hardly, in fact there were many other times it wanted to cry but the waters just washed away its tears.

It was time it thought, after years of being away and battling these cruel waters.  Being on its own was no picnic.  'It is time.' The creature had thought like many before.  The urge to turn back has consumed it but fought against it.  'It is time to go back home.'
