Collin
"Uncle Frederic!" Hazel screamed through the crowd. Not only was she surprise, she was furious. I guess she was just as surprise as I was. In fact Erin, Jamie, Eva, and Riley were at a lost for words. Including Chris. Oh fuck. He just stared not even blinking once like he just saw a ghost.
"Well my dear girl, this is my gift to my dear nephew." Uncle held out his hands towards her as my legs were rooted to the spot, my mouth ran dry and my mind went numb. My eyes now locked on hers.
Never mind the plenty eyes that were now on me. I wasn't focus on them. And I'll deal with Chris later. Rather it was now focus towards the one who my heart constantly beat for, those same blue orbs.
There in the center spot light stood her. Her silky white dress flowed, her sandy hair cascading down her length, her eyes that only twinkled in sheer delight and her lips that had curved into a small smile.
Not only is she here just a few feet away from me, but she was standing. Standing on two legs. Perhaps I am dreaming. Because the last I saw her she had no legs, let alone she had to use a wheel chair and a wet suit to keep her hydrated.
"Well boy," uncle started but I didn't wait for him to finish that line. As if my legs had a mind of its own, it quickly rush towards her pushing the people that were in my way.
Reaching for her, I wrapped my arms around her hoisting her up, pulling her towards my chest, smelling her scent which she still smelled like seaweed as I had spin her. Her giggle that I had missed so much was music to my ears. For just a split moment it was just the two of us. There was no sound, no sight, no voices especially no Hazel just her. All I saw was her.
"Collin!" All of a sudden Hazel's voice had become nothing but a gnat. "Collin!" She screeched. "What about Cole!" Taking my eyes off of her, I looked at Cole who was in Hazel's arm. He looked lost and confused as to why I have someone else in my arms.
In fact everyone looked just like that, at a lost for words.
"Okay everyone, party is over." Jamie yelled through the microphone.
With low grumbles, everyone left quietly. Course it took at least thirty minutes for everyone to fully leave. A long thirty minutes. I wanted to throw them out in ten but I waited.
My arms never leaving her side, never again. I don't know how, but she is here and this time I am not letting go.
"Kara." I breathed. Her head turned towards me at the sound of my voice. "Are you really here?" Turning her body towards me, she had wobbled a bit but I held her in place.
On her very own toes, she inclined herself and placed a longing kiss on my lips. Gasps could be heard from my surrounding family and friends as I let her lips linger on mine.
"Get away from him." With a shove, Kara had fallen back only for Erin to immediately rush to her side.
"Hazel, what the hell is wrong with you?" Erin helped Kara up shouting at Hazel.
Everyone was a bit startled by her out bursts. "I don't understand. Uncle, I only invited you and mother not her." She spat. "And how is this even possible?" She observed her legs.
"Hazel." I barked grabbing her by the arm and pulling her away from everyone including Chris who was still here along with Clarissa but not before giving my sister a look to watch Kara.
"Collin." Hazel felt defeated. Her voice seemed strained. "This isn't happening, this isn't real." She said more to herself probably thinking if this whole thing was some sort of dream.
