I swear Id trade-in my soul just to get out of these shackles
Id ask for much but all I need from you is half a nickel
Liberating thoughts were underway to rid of this ripple
Day in and out scheming to see the light from this stipple
Tipsy to get a healing from this twisted tipple
But where be the so-called rebels?
Abandoned us amidst a spontaneous battle
All we can do is flee every which way as we grabble
Into the unknown with our houses in a piles of rubble
Whilst queasy hearts blooming among the rabbles
I swear Id trade-in my smile just to get out of this cripple
Id ask for much but all I need from you is half a nickel
Even if its an itsy-bitsy taste or a nibble
Of that freedom is enough to heal the people
Filled with uncontrolled emotions as tears on the cheeks trickle
Feeling of loss and panic becoming the daily bread
Stomachs constantly complain as they grumble
Legs weary from fear, and from terror, bones rattle
If this be the doing of the devil, we pray to burst out of the bubble
Call us crazies if this be a mumbo-jumbo grumble.
