So, I lay awake every night
Hoping I could stay on guard
See what the night has conspired
The ravage schemes of the plunder
A rupture with my prized possession
Survive the longest shiver
From the coldest winter.
Even if the world brings to light,
Am ready to face the skeletons in the closet
Allow the old dust of the humiliation settle
One slip from reality into slumber,
Feels like an abomination
A source of ultimate temptation
Built personal vendettas with my sleep
With my fist holding onto that lamp
Bearing that beautiful fire
To scare those demons away
Yet am possessed with the feeling
Dragging me to the deep end
That mental state entailed with madness.
It's still worth it though
If I go down this way,
With ease am going to lay
Knowing my end was all in honor.
