This piece is dedicated to one of my friends who on a sad note passed away three days ago from a drowning accident. God rest his soul :(

We gladly wear ratty jeans in public
Yet we cannot live on with torn hearts
Noticing that we have an empty hole among us
Irreplaceable yet again memorable
Another gentle juvenile victim soon departed
A roomie, a best friend, a son, a brother
A source of undying joy to a hopeful mother
A dreamer whose head was in the clouds, shooting for the stars
Sadly, ironic it seems,
Now he's among them gazing down on our sore scars
Left us with all these unresolved problems
Letting ourselves believe we are seeing him in Tipp-ex filled eyes
Renouncing that he is really on the other side
A sailing boat drowned by the harsh waves on this side
Soon drifted away from us with the cold tides.
